Over night for Thanksgiving trip to see family out at Sea Ranch. Perfect spot to stay in Gualala. If my parents didn’t live out at Sea Ranch and I was fortunate to have a staycation place out on the coast I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the woman’s name who checked me in, but super friendly and welcoming. Rented the Horizon / King suite, ocean view…beautiful room. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great location, though right on the road, the Gualala Country Inn is a modest place to stay. The check in and welcome by staff was excellent, down to the complimentary bottled water - though a water dispenser for our bottles would have been a better option. The Inn could use some upgrades - especially mattresses. Our mattress was way too soft and old feeling. Towels are thin. The cafe table in the room was nice, but chairs were metal and hard. Something more comfortable and inviting would have been great. Also, the cable to TV was not working (we were informed).

Clean comfortable rooms with ocean views. Limited after hours (8pm) assistance. Problems with TV service. One room TV worked. The other room it didn’t work. It appears this is a recurring problem.

Great location and a lovely warm welcome from Becky. She explained everything, and talked us through the room information, and had even switched on the fire place so it gave us a nice cosy feel when we got to our room. Really lovely attention to detail!

The room was fine, but the cleaner they used was unbelievably gross smelling. Maybe it's fine for others. For us, ugh.
Also, they had a smart TV and it was really complicated to watch anything if you didn't have your passwords or apps.

Great stay with Gualala Country Inn. They offer contactless check-in if you are coming in later at night and are pet friendly! The room is very cozy and super clean. We had a great view from the window and microwave and fridge are included. The Inn is also conveniently located next to the supermarket as well as lot of restaurants. Would definitely come back again!

The staff was friendly and attentive but not available after 6pm or between noon and 3pm check in. Room not ready after check in. Booked the “deluxe” king with ocean view. Window filthy with bird crap and film. Warm weather but no AC so kept windows open to horrendous traffic noises. Fireplace fired on automatically with a loud bang then shut off after a minute, after office hours.No buttons to control fireplace. Cigarette smoke from units below waffled into windows early am. Refrigerator needs defrosting. Overall facility in need of remodel. Cold water faucet handle loose. Exterior grounds are not well maintained. Overall impression is management/ ownership is absent. Not worth $250/night. A rip off.

Property Manager Becky is a rock star! She went out of her way to find a couple of extra pillows for our one night stay! Rooms were clean, comfy & everything was in good & working condition. The 2 queen beds were quite comfortable also.Had everything we needed for a good night sleep! Would stay again! 4star rating on property condition only because it is a little dated but they are in the process of updating the lodge.

What a wonderful stop along our Route 1 travels! We arrived during a beautiful sunset across the street from the hotel. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for the night. In the morning, we drove 1 minute to the grocery store next door to pick up breakfast sandwiches and lunch fixings. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff was very nice, accommodating, & professional. The room was clean & decently decorated, bed was comfortable. The shower needs some maintenance as it leaks. Unfortunately the ocean view rooms are next to the highway so you do hear traffic & any people across the way if you have the windows open. The grounds also need maintenance as the green area shown in pictures is weeds, dirt, & some garbage around. That said their prices are very reasonable.
