The property is clearly under renovation, which I nice to see.
The room had two beds and upon checking the beds as I always do before bed, I noticed that the bed sheet under the top cover appeared not to have been changed. We chose to sleep in the other bed. Only a one night stay, no time to moved rooms

Well located. Carpet not cleaned before my arrival and used kleenex under the plastic glass in the bathroom. Pool and gym not available due to renovation but not mentionned. A lot of thing missing at the breakfast even at the opening. I travel frequently and this Mariott is under the everage and not cheaper.

I think Hotels.com should be obliged to communicate that this hotel is under renovations. The lobby, kitchen area, all the 2nd floor, one of the elevators are all in a state of construction. There is no staff, only some seriously unpleasant people at the front desk scowling constantly. I've never been verbally assaulted like I was here, and never been asked for an ID to get the answer to "where is breakfast". Pubic hair on the bathroom floor is the final straw. I want a refund. This place needs a serious attitude make-over and a serious housekeeping manager.

This property had apparently been taken over by another company. Expedia had not informed us of the name change. Renovations were still in progress. Our room was not serviced during our two day stay…no fresh towels or toiletries replenished . Room cleaning requires upgrading….garbage in night table drawer; previous occupants socks on shelf.
Breakfast selection, while adequate, could be better organized.
The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating when matters brought to their attention.
I feel this hotel will be a good choice when these deficit areas are taken care of.

They are renovating, changing over to a Marriott Fairfield. Their new sign is already up, so look for that.
The front desk lady wasn't super friendly.
Also, there was some sort of constant banging in the walls (sounded like pipes maybe) and the elevator makes a lot of sketchy sounds too. But besides that, it was a comfy bed

My last stay here I was on the fourth floor & it was pretty good. This hotel is under renovation with lots of work to be done. This time on the fifth floor different story. Washroom smelled like urine. Piece of drywall under bathroom sink. Receptacles not complete. Room didn’t smell clean or feel clean. If anyone books here ask to see the room first.

The hotel was still under construction and it is not called the newmarket hotel anymore which was very confusing. It is the marriot. It was quiet and the rooms were nice and clean. The staff were friendly,polite and helpful.

The hotel itself is under renovation, but nothing was mentioned in the description. Repairs were being made at the time of our stay, at night we could hear sounds or movement of furniture or installation of the floor. Because of which it was impossible to fall asleep. Therefore, it is not worth the price at all. And another minus is the deposit, which I paid $181 on August 2, and I still haven't received it back. I do not recommend! Think carefully before staying there.

The breakfast area was spacious and well stocked. Every time we were there, there was a place to sit and eat. There did not seem to be large numbers of people checked in when we stayed. Overall, my wife and I really liked staying at this hotel in Newmarket. It was quiet except for the first night. The people in the suite next door were really loud and obnoxious. They must have checked out the next morning because peace reigned. My one wish is that doors connecting suites have more soundproofing since I don’t want to hear other guests behaving poorly.

When we arrived, we discovered that this hotel was going through renovations to perform a brand change. Even though, the hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. We arrived in our spacious King room which included an armchair, fridge and Micro Wave, and raised TV. The bathroom was lovely and looks newly renovated. The shower was huge, with large glass door. Looking forward to the wall mount soap dispensers (the mounts were already installed). The Breakfast served scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage. Our room was cleaned daily. We were very happy with our stay.

They are in renovations so things are not finished.Also the sound proofing between potentially adjoining suites was terrible. You could hear conversations and see light under the door. They should address this.
