Beautiful old hotel right in the city.

Great location, safe and a few blocks from the center. Really beautiful restored building. Breakfast was yummm with plenty of free coffee refills. Tea was always available. They are very covid conscious and you have to wash your hands when you get inside the hotel and spray the bottom of your feet. Super clean.

Great hotel in the center of Arequipa in a historic building. Service was brilliant and the staff was really helpful with reservations and local tips. The room was clean and the hotel has a lovely garden to relax. Would definitive book here again when I revisit Arequipa

If u stay in Areiquipa, this is the only choice!

Staff were exceedingly helpful with making things happen (our Uber to the colca kept cancelling - and the staff rapidly arranged alternative transport).The room itself was a little peculiar - I think a function of the old colonial architecture - there wasn’t much natural light or air and the room got very warm during the night.

We came to Arequipa for our son's wedding. There were seven rooms reserved by wedding participants. We were so impressed by the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff. The courtyards were perfect for friends and family to gather. The rooms were all unique and beautiful. This was my favourite hotel during our stay in Peru. Thank you, Hotel Casona Solar!

Excellent service, nice room, hot shower, good breakfast. Laundry service was provided for a reasonable price. We had a wonderful stay.

Wonderful place. The room was adorable and the patio space was great. The staff was so kind, even packing us a lunch when we had to leave early (missing breakfast).

Beautiful property with 2 courtyards to enjoy. Our room was very large family apartment and the beds were very comfortable. Good breakfast. Outstanding staff service and friendliness, they helped us book bus tickets and taxi and their laundry service was good.

A wonderful small hotel with beautiful gardens and very helpful and friendly staff. Nice rooms although we all wished for a window that can open or some kind of adjustable room ventilation. Also, bathroom would benefit from extra shelves in the shower and by the sink, as well as from a light colored shower curtain (to let more light into the shower). Other than that, room was spacious and clean and quiet. This was a peaceful oasis in the middle of a busy city. Would stay here again.

Lovely stay: nice room, friendly and professional staff that speaks English, beautiful and serene courtyard and gardens, excellent breakfast, nice boxed lunch when we had to leave early, close to the main square, restaurants and shops (walking distance) yet away from all the noise. Affordable laundry service.Things to improve: install more shelves in the bathroom shower and by the sink, install a white shower curtain that would let more light into the shower, slightly improve cleanliness by washing bed skirts and duvet covers more often (bed sheets were crispy and clean).Things that cannot be improved: room ventilation is lacking as there are no windows that can be opened and left open if it gets too hot. Room sometimes felt stuffy and hot.Would stay in this hotel again.

Amazing! The 17th century colonial building is renovated into unique rooms, and we were offered three to choose from. Lovely courtyards to relax in, three blocks from main square, yet quiet inside. Excellent breakfast, helpful staff. Best hotel of our trip!

An excellent hotel, large comfortable rooms some with fully equipped kitchenette. Good breakfast and in room wifi. Attentive staff, quiet, central location. Recommended without hesitation. 10/10.

Combines friendly atmosphere, great accomodations, good location and fair rate. I was really happy there. The staff came to meet me at the door, took the time to explain the city, understand my needs and expectations, great experience. And, besides being relaxed and establish in an historic building, the room is new, big, modern facilities. Loved it.

We stayed three nights at Casona Solar. Two were planned, the third one was not, as we found our bus to our next destination was cancelled. We had a great experience in Casona Solar, the rooms are clean, spacious, always have hot water and the WIFI works without any issues. The location of the hotel is about three blocks from the main square, and it is safe. What made the experience great though is the staff, with a special shout out to Joshua who literally commands the place. He is on top of everything, and is the most helpful person I have ever met. While in Peru we stayed in a total of 8 hotels and our entire family agrees that Casona Solar was by far the best one!
