Nice old motel with modern touches This 1940s motor court style motel has been updated and remodeled. Our room was spotless and in very good shape. The shower was small, but had modern tile and great water pressure. The proprietors were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds and landscaping were well taken care of and we enjoyed the beautiful gazebo. We were able to walk to downtown from the motel and the best breakfast in town; Pig and Grits, was next door

The motel was very clean and well maintained. It is in the perfect location. It is within walking distance to all the cute shops in the town square. The staff was very friendly and personable. There was only one rocking chair for our room to sit in outside. My only suggestion would be to have two chairs lper room to sit in outside. Other than that our stay there was perfect.

Charming retro roadside motel, quiet small town with friendly people and beautiful mountains. The only thing we would suggest is maybe one more comfy chair for the rooms - as age 60 travelers it isn’t always comfortable to sit on beds. But other than that, everything was perfect!

Very cozy, peaceful setting. Facility seemed week cared for, though not your typical motel environment. A nice homey vibe - like staying with friends who you only see at check-in (where we were giving great dining recommendations btw).

Was only here overnight, but excellent service. Was coming in late and the owner had set my key out for me to find easily. The room was very quaint, very country inn vibes!! Clean and comfortable with all the amenities. A/C was a little noisy (could not work out how to turn the blower off completely) but aside from that room was excellent.

Just as beautiful as the pictures & the hotel manager was one of the nicest people that I have talked to in a long time!! HIGHLY recommend this hotel! Plus Burnsville is wonderful!

My son and I enjoyed our overnight stay . Being Easter Sunday most places were closed.

Nostalgic feel. Very clean and the management are amazing and so very friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Convenient and walkable to area restaurants.

Perfect

I've stayed at hotels across the country and done my share of traveling, and Carolina Country Inn is one of the top 5 hotel experiences I have had! Although the outside is unassuming, there is a nostalgic charm to the building. The owners are incredibly nice, check-in was a dream, and the room itself was perfect and exceptionally clean. If I ever travel back to the area, I will definitely stay here!

As usual, we had a very nice stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We were greeted warmly at check-in and were asked more than once during our stay if there was anything that we needed (there wasn't). The Inn is located within walking distance of downtown Burnsville and plenty of restaurants and shops, and within driving distance of lots of things to see and do in Western NC. This is our third stay, and we'll definitely be staying there in the future. We recommend it to friends looking for a place to stay when they visit the mountains.

Manager/owner could not have been nicer! Property is old; however, it is obvious that the present owners are working to keep it up inside and outside. Some enhancements have been made; there are opportunities for others. Rooms are small but reasonably comfortable. Ours had a kitchenette which we did not use but would have had we stayed longer. Parking is right outside the door...a real plus. The only real negative...it is very difficult to get hot water. It is necessary to let the sink or shower run for 10 minutes, or longer, before the water even becomes lukewarm. At times, it never becomes warm much less hot; thus it is impossible to shower unless one can do so in very cold water. We were told the property's hot water heater is an "80 gallon tank" clearly insufficient for a property with a dozen or so rooms. If the owners address/fix this issue, the property would be more appealing.

The place was quaint, comfortable, clean and in a great location. Will definitely use again.

The Carolina Country Inn is a motel that's been conceptualized as a proper inn. Charming and welcoming in the heart of downtown Burnsville.

Very pretty, very clean. Nice place to stay in the cute town of Burnsville. Lots of eating places and places to shop nearby.
