Location was great, the Old Quarter was just across the bridge. The room was clean and nice but the bathroom was not great,. There was urine on the toilet seat and cover and tiny little bugs everywhere, but these issues were easily rectified. For the price this was absolutely a steal, the owner was so kind and the service was top notch.

The staff were very lovely, we used google translate to communicate with them the entire time. Yes, the hotel is located by the bridge but you have to get a taxi or grab every time you want to go into the old quarter/city centre as there is no feasible way to walk across. The room itself was technically clean, but it smelt very strongly of mould which made us feel quite sick and was definitely off putting. If you want to stay in Hà Nội I would recommend staying in the Old Quarter or surrounding as you’ll pay around the same price (if not cheaper) for a room and be able to save the money on transport. I don’t think this hotel is worth it.

Staff is very nice and make sure your stay is comfortable.
Unless you are a limited budget traveler, may not be a good place to stay… need a ride to go to downtown/tourist sights.

Terrible.
The worst place that I have ever stayed in.

Do not recommend this place. I have been travelling to many countries and even stayed at hostels which had held better standard than this so called hotel. (Which the signs outside says motel, but this ad says hotel).
The bed was hard, it says queensize but in reality two clapon beds pushed together. In order to get hot water for shower you have to press on a switch and wait 30 minutes, which is really weird and the first time im experience it on a hotel. The host was very pushy on booking tours through him even though i said no three times.

Air conditioner didn't turn on!
There were times when there was no hot water in the shower.
I was led to a room in the basement.
After staying one night, the room was kept clean.
The night staff was very kind, even recommending massages.

Reception staff spent the entire time screaming and shouting. Which echoed through the entire hotel. They also spoke for long periods on the mobile phones using speaker phone, again the noise carried throughout the hotel. My advice: stay somewhere else.

Awesome stay experience, 5/5!

Shower not always HOT.
You get what you pay for :)

The staff was friendly and very helpful even though they had no English ability but luckily they were very good at using Google translate. The hotel is an excellent value.

The workers are extremely nice! only 8-10 min drive to everything.

Location is quiet and away from city centre. Do note that the bridge has no pedestrian path for walking. Staff speak english and are very helpful. Air conditioning needs some servicing though, met lots of issues during our two nights stay. Sound proofing is bad but no issues because we wore ear plugs to sleep. Room is very clean.

I stayed here a few weeks ago and didn't have a positive experience, which was a bummer since the other reviews look good.
Firstly, I want to say the staff are wonderful and kind! I would rate them 5 stars!
My issue was with the room cleanliness. I booked the Standard Double Room, which was the mistake. It's an interior facing room with no proper ventilation, just a small window that opens up to an air shaft.
When I checked in, the room felt damp and smelled moldy. The sheets had stains on them, and the pillows and duvet were still a bit wet. One pillow in particular was wet and smelled very moldy. The staff were quick to change the bedding, and I stayed for one night as the bed was quite comfortable.
Unfortunately, I have an allergy to mold, and I was starting to feel sick. I noticed there was mold growing on the ceiling (pictured). I hoped the air con would help dry the room out, but they turn it off when you head out, so the room stayed damp during the day. Unrelated, my shower had a leak, and the bathroom floor was always wet.
I raised my issues, and the staff offered to move my room. However, the alternatives still smelled a bit musty. They showed me a nicer room, which was OK, but they would require me to pay extra. I just decided to leave early without refund to go somewhere cleaner.
Perhaps with a deep clean and proper ventilation, the hotel could be nice. If you stay here, I'd advise booking the balcony rooms

The staff tried to overcharged me to pay fir a dirty towers that I never get charged from other hotels.I am happy to pay. After that she said she mixed up and asked me to pay double price with the rubbish towers.I feel unsafe at the hotel and next day,I left the hotel even I booked 4 nights.I stayed two nights and feel terrible about the receptionist girl.I strongly suggest visitors should not come there, non professional way and tourists get trapped.Breakfast no fruits nothing just egg and cool bread no tissue..very awful.

We had a great stay in Phuong Trang Hotel!
We stayed for one week and the staff were amazing (thank you Nu)!! Everyone was so nice and helpful with anything we needed during our stay.
It is a close ride to the center of the town and there is a supermarket walking distance away.
The only thing we had a small issue with is that the bed was a bit too hard, but that wouldn’t be an issue for shorter stays!
Highly recommend this hotel, really worth it for the price!

Hotel staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. The rooms are big. Bathroom was good size as well. Just outside the center of the city. Short and cheap taxi or grab will get you to the old quarters in minutes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Ha Noi.
