We had a perfect stay, we had a superior room which had a little sofa as well as the bed which made it really comfortable for two people hiding from the rain in Bergen! The bathroom was particularly lovely with underfloor heating...the breakfast buffet was amazing with nice additional hot plates to order. The staff were great and we loved being bang in the centre of Bergen.

It was delightful to see fresh flowers in a vase, a very tasty mango drink, sweets and fruits as a welcome treat in our room! It was an amazing stay!

Opus is an expensive hotel, but the quality of the stay was also a top tier experience.
Handy location for exploring Bergen on foot, a brilliant breakfast and very responsive staff make for a lovely Bergen experience, even in the deluge of rain that coincided with our stay. My only disappointmens were that I was unaware of the very expensive room service charge that we discovered at checkout and the fact that rooms do not have telephones and contacting reception proved impossible with our devices.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms aren't as big as I thought they would be, but I was traveling alone, so it didn't really bother me. The customer service however was amazing. I had accidentally left my phone at the lobby and didn't realise until I had reached the airport. My taxi driver was able to contact the lobby and they arranged for another taxi to bring my phone to me. Very helpful, would definitely recommend.

Excellent location and a really nice hotel. Rooms and bathrooms were very nice. High ceilings gave it a nice charm. Excellent breakfast. Walkable area. The only gripe was that the hotel is directly in town so a bit noisy .

The property is lovely and has tremendous character. The staff was amazingly helpful. They gave us great dining suggestions, got us boat tickets, and told us the best sites. I would stay there again.

The hotel itself is ok. NO PARKING! If you drive, the offsite parking is 11 minutes away walk.
I did not like the staff at the beginning, but it really depends. The staff later helped me was nice.

I really recommend this hotel close to everything you need train transport, nice location to visit. We and our baby enjoying so so much for Christmas holiday there.

Very attentive house keeping. Superb location to explore all the main attractions in Bergen.
We had dinner one evening and have enjoyed the table service provided by Vibecca (apologies if I spelt the name wrong).
Breakfast was nice, although the buffet section could have provided more protein options.
We have absolutely enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend !

The best hotel in Bergen, without doubt. Splendid service and very nice rooms. Had some trouble during my stay this time, got to change room immediately, and they really did all they could to make it up.

Location was fantastic. I paid $2000 Kron to upgrade to room with view. Unfortunately, the room was above the entrance door where many people stand and smoke cigarettes. The upgraded room was also small.

What a lovely stay at Opus XVI!! The staff were beyond accommodating. One morning, I wasn't feeling well, and they sent breakfast and a pot of coffee to me in our room. When we left very early for the train station, they sent a boxed breakfast with us. Brekfast was included in our stay, and there were a myriad of options. Our room had a view of the water and was very quiet. The beds and linens very comfortable. We definitely would stay here again. The staff was so pleasant and helpful.

The room was split level and noisy. Recycle trucks came to pick up bottles right outside the room early in the morning.

Room itself was great. Breakfast was great. Location was great. The not so great: the noise outside the hotel from the bar and people screaming. The staffs largely unapologetic reaction to the noise keeping me awake. Not having the room available for check in at the designated time and not explaining why or offering any apology or benefit.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Bergen with a very classic yet modern and luxury appeal. The exceptional service as the front desk asked the restaurant to make me a meal after the restaurant had closed, as I was a late arrival.

Top class hotel. The piano player each morning at breakfast was superb and created a wonderful ambience for a world class breakfast.

We stayed at The Eilert Smith Hotel in Stavanger and Opus in Bergen, and although both are owned by the same group, what a world of difference in customer experience. Eilert Smith staff went out of their way to do anything they could for us. Opus was like any big hotel, made the reservations if you asked, but did not respond to any texts or messages, even though they said they were available 24/7. Staff esp one lady just seemed like she couldn’t handle even reservations efficiently or understand. Seemed to be scrambling and unsure. Anyway, just an ordinary experience. Not great or extraordinary like The Eilert Smith Hotel in Stavanger. Also breakfast at Opus was okay, not great. Quality of food just okay.

The best hotel in Bergen. The fragrance they spray in the lobby is divine. They have beautiful classical music playing for breakfast and in the evenings. Breakfast was gorgeous and our room was very luxe. Valet for the hire car was really convenient.

The staff was very friendly and helpful but for the price the room was not worth it. The rooms were very small, there was no luggage rack and was so small it was difficult to get two suitcases open at the same time. Also there was no view, the window looked almost directly across a small courtyard into another room. Also for the price I expected a better breakfast buffet. It was small selection and for two mornings none of the options we tried were very good or cooked well.
