Breakfast was terrible! Boxes of Rice Krispies and below average coffee. Worst ever.
Room was clean but you had to take a shower or stuff washcloth in drain to take a bath. Water medium hot. Price was too high for attributes offered. It was safe and mattress comfortable. Walls thin. I won’t dtay there again.

One night stay visiting the area with other family. It was a nice location, easy in and out. Good service, but limited continental breakfast. Rooms were nice size, ours could have used some maintenance in the bathroom around the discolored and dirty floor bathtub seal.
All in all, room was comfortable and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

A handy location in a nice little town.

The Ponderosa is a nice clean comfortable hotel just 6 miles from Joseph and 12 miles from lake Wallowa . The Wallowa Tram is a must see. It takes you to the top of Mount Howard at over 8,000 feet with several nice hikes with spectacular views. We chose the Ponderosa since it’s economical and just a short drive from the lake.

Very upset, booked the property and room in advance with the understanding that it was pet friendly. We had a family emergency and booked and brought our dog under the assumption that we paid the fee to have a pet friendly room. We got there and the front desk worker said no to our dog and was no help. Kind of rude. Very clean and nice room. Just falsely advertised and priced.

My husband and I decided to make a last minute trip to the Enterprise/Joseph, OR area. I was checking out the motel options and found The Ponderosa Motel. We were very happy with our accommodations and will definitely stay they when we return to the area!

The hotel is older, but very well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are several options for dining within easybwalking distance. During the spring and summer months there is an excellent BBQ stand setup up in the parking lot most Mondays through Saturday for breakfast, lunch and early dinner.

We enjoyed our stay here. We were specifically looking for a dog friendly motel, as we were here for a dog trial. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. This was a great choice for a budget friendly hotel.

Good prices, cute log beds, overall great stay, the only thing that was problematic was the accesible shower head would not slide up and stay put so we had to place a har clip to secure it also the bathroom sink has no counter there is no counter space at all in the bathroom. But other than

It’s wintertime and the heat was off when I checked in, so the room was freezing. There was an old, moldy bar of soap was in the window of the bathroom and the toilet kept making an occasional running noise throughout the night. Overall, budget friendly and decent room.
