We were very warmly welcomed by the owner family and enjoyed our two nights in the Casa very much. The rooms were very nice and very clean. We had dinner at the casa once, the food was prepared by the owner's wife and was excellent. There was even a delicious dessert and Cuban rum. We can highly recommend this casa to anyone who wants to visit Cienfuegos.

Great place to stay. It's a beautiful lace, it's clean, it's near the center of Cienfuegos. The breakfast was delicious. Cienfuegos had a big problem with electricity when we were there, prepare for this, but the house and city can't do something about that.

Very central, delicious breakfasts with creoes. Very attentive host. Thoroughly recommend.

This is a lovely home near the main plaza and tourist highlights of Cienfuegos. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. French as well as English and, of course, Spanish is spoken in this home. I enjoyed a very good breakfast here. My only recommendation is that a battery powered light be made available to guests to offset the daily (at least during my three day stay) lengthy power blackouts.

The owners are realy kind and friendly. I would strongly recomend to eat in the house as we had the most amazing meals there. Much better quality and most economical than eating outside. We enjoyed our stay there and I would highly recomend it. Great place!

Super friendly and knowledgeable host, who is fluent in multiple languages. Comfortable and spacious room. Great filling breakfast, includint coffee, fruit juice, fruits, pancakes, eggs and toast. Secure parking availble at a hotel courtyard a few blocks away. Good location within 5-10 min walk from most sights and restaurants.

Nice place in central Cienfuegos, good basis to explore the city from, easy access to the main spots. Would recommend it as a place to stay.

Although we only stayed one day, we greatly enjoyed our stay. Yesmel and Eliete were great hosts, very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was great to.

We only stayed one night though really loved our stay. It is a beautifully house with Afro-Cuban artwork creating creative vibes. There are super clean and comfortable rooms. The casa is located just around the corner of the main square (Parque José Marti) which offers many of the principle sightseeing attractions.

Well located within walking distance to boulevard and other key attractions. Room was spacious and well maintained. Pleasant hosts.

Staying with Cuban families instead of in mass / luxury tourist facilities can of course present a few more challenges, but is much more rewardable. Yesmel and Iniet are friendly hosts. The room was comfortable, with a good bathroom, air conditioning, and fridge, though not much natural light. The location is not quite as shown on the expedia map - it is a couple of blocks over from the main square. Internet connection is a slight deficiency, but this is due to internet issues generally in Cuba; you just have to ask the hosts to be connected.

Very helpful host (helped me with taxi and to change money). The room was nice in colonial casa, just 5 minutes from central square.

Location, Location and Location. I stayed at Casa Lalita 4 nights. I had an excellent service . Fabulous and healthy breakfast every day, very safe neighborhood, very clean, within walking distance to Parque Jose Marti. It is located in the historical center of Cienfuegos. Thank you for making my holiday very special.

This was the most extraordinary stay we have had. It was just so nice!! The owner of the house was so nice, he also spoke English very very well! We had some problem with the money and he just gave his everything to help us get some cash! I can only recommend this place. It is in the center of Cienfuegas, it is clean, it has a perfect breakfast and the people are super super nice! Please go here!

This casa had a few quirks that differentiated it from the other 3 casa ( 1 hotel) we stayed in over 10 nights we had in Cuba:- 1. They refused to supply us with drinking water, even when we offered to (and did in fact) pay for it. When we finally did 'persuade' them to sell us 1 1 bottles, it turns out that one of the (still sealed) bottles was leaky, so as the ice in the bottle melted, the water leaked out. By the time we arrived in Havana, we had a mess in the taxi and there was hardly any drinking water left... 2. This was the only one where we didn't have a window in our room we could open for ventilation and/or natural light to mitigate the effects of power outage... 3. This was the only one where we had waste water ponding (ankle-deep) in the shower area because the rate of drainage was painfully slow. And because the condensation pipe of the air-conditioning drains into the bathroom at ceiling height (down onto the 'pond' of waste water that had accumulated in the shower area), that produced constant water dripping sounds throughout the night/whenever the air-conditioning was turned on... 4. On the very early morning of our departure, we discovered one of our bags had been invaded by a cockroach... something that did not happen to us anywhere else in Cuba (whether casa or hotel). Whilst we did meet a man who spoke fluent English and introduced himself as the 'owner', he was only present briefly one morning, and nobody else could communicate in English.

I had a great 2 night stay at Casa Lalina. The hosts English is limited (i should have learnt more Spanish) but we got by fine, and conveniently her brother Jesmee (the actual owner) was in town for a few days (who speaks fluent, English French, Spanish of course) to help out with my onwards travel, which was a massive help (Thankyou J). Cannot fault the property/stay, very clean, lits of nice colonial features, good spot off the main square but still quiet enough. Comfy beds with air/con and fan, and large fresh breakfast with a big smile from Lalina in the morning. Would whole-heartedly recommend.

As a single female I felt really safe here - Lolita was so lovely and made me feel really welcome! I also decided to leave early for Trinidad and Yesmel refunded my night which he didn’t have to do . . . I would definitely recommend this Casa! Enjoy! Xx

Our stay in Casa Colonial Lalita was amazing. The hosts were very nice and helped us out a lot during our stay. The stay itself was very clean and had a very cute and local appearance, the breakfast is freshly made every morning and very much recommended! Thank you for all your care and friendliness!
