Convenient for our trip to Alton towers, unfortunately after the first night our bedroom wasn’t made, no clean towels or linen despite leaving the note to state we wanted our room made. We had to ask for new towels after getting back around midnight. Also, car park is extremely narrow and tight, would recommend parking in the private paid one next door.

Comfortable hotel very clean . Restaurant onsite was good but overwhelmed with big group. Management seemed a bit inflexible. Instructions for parking on arrival could be clearer to avoid inconvenient round trip . Parking just across road was ok

Great hotel, big and clean

Parking was difficult to find unless you have been there. Lack of bath tub. Water splashing outside when taking a shower. Aircon not cold enough. Flaws were compensated by staff from reception, cleaner, cook and dining staff. Very accommodating.

Great hotel and excellent room, big and nice and clean. We found it very difficult to find the car park but not problems thereafter. Would stay here again.

Car park not free and not next to the hotel. No concierge which makes you to struggle taking your luggage to your room. Room is quite and clean. Room size is good and comfortable.

Clean and modern, have no clue why we had to pay for the car park when it’s the hotels own. Couldn’t order any lunch as we were told it was out of lunch time when the board behind literally said otherwise.

Everything was as good as we expected

Being terrorised by a homeless person outside of the property. Obviously not a new thing for staff … as their nonchalant attitude did not help matters. Front desk receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Restaurant staff were amazing as was the food!

Just brilliant

The room was clean, very nice. Reception was problem. I had returned from the theatre and was waiting for my room key, when I saw a working dog defecate in the lobby ! The hotel staff did absolutely nothing about it, didn’t even say a word to the owner. The owner was fairly quick to pick it up. I expected the staff to at least disinfect the area but they didn’t, horrendous!

Nice new hotel with clean rooms. The air conditioning did not work in our room, we reported it and ask for it to be repaired. This never happened. Checkin was slow due to a lack of staff, dinner service was slow due to a lack of staff and the staff that were working appeared to have no knowledge of the menu or wine list. Many things on the menu were not available but the waitress did not know this, so had to reorder twice. Breakfast was ok, self service buffet with limited options

Car parking a bit confusing as it’s on opposite side of the hotel. Check in was efficient but receptionist didn’t ask us about our stay or anything when we checked out. Room very clean and comfortable. Would be better if hadn’t had dirty glass and mug outside the door on arrival however. Tables in the bar area weren’t cleared or cleaned either and I had to ask the barman to clean the table. Nice breakfast, good interior design and convenient location for Hanley.

On check in no one advised us there was no dining until after 8.15 as restaurant reserved for group booking. There was no provision for other guests. They wouldn’t offer any room service either for myself and my 13 year old and told me to walk up the road to another restaurant. I didn’t want to have to go anywhere else having driven 5 hours we were shattered! We found Pubic hair on the wall in our bathroom. Then at 10pm school children were running up and down the corridor ‘practising for their athletics’. Breakfast selection was basic, there weren’t enough staff to clear the tables and even when cleared they weren’t wiped down so still had food from previous guests. Very disappointing.

We didn't really do much in the surrounding area so we have no idea if this was near anything. It was annoying to have to park over the road and lug our cases from the carpark across from the hotel. The restaurant was booked up as there was a coach party staying, so we could not get dinner until after 8pm. Breakfast was good, hotel was nice, staff were nice. Would probably stay again if in the area.

convenient for what we needed

Quiet and warm with parking which is my main 3 things!! The carpark is over the road from the hotel. Its a basic carpark in a not so picturesque area, but better than nothing and you pay 9 pounds at reception. The check in was so time consuming and totally unnecessary. Having been a hotel receptionists myself, the process could of been more friendly and more efficient. We also had to fill in forms by hand. Very peculiar this day and age. The two receptionists also did not recognise who was next in line to be served and served some one else before the gentlemen next in line. The team in the morning serving on the shop and desk were not forthcoming with friendliness either. The hotel and room was new and very clean. The room echos and lacks a chair to sit on but the towels were of a good size and the hair dryer had a very long cable so reached to the mirror. Good size room, coffee tray hadnt been restocked. Very quiet hotel, bar, restaurant with outside smoking area by the entrance for those that wish to smoke comfortably. (Not us) We checked in at 930pm friday and left at 640am Saturday. I like my hotels but for the money, i dont think its anything special and had better customers service at a budget hotel. No atmosphere or friendliness.
