Clean, Comfortable and nicely furnished.

The apartment was clean, roomy and with excellent amenities- including a range of streaming TV channels. Wifi was excellent. Our hostess, Bethany was super responsive and helpful. Check in was automated and could not have been easier. Brunswick is a fabulous base with easy access to a lot of historical places - Frederick, Antietam, Harpers Ferry, Leesburg. We were able to have breakfasts and suppers on the balcony.

The apartment is reached via a spiral staircase, and while it was fine for us - we are in our early 70s - I can see that some guests might find access a bit daunting. Brunswick is not a particularly pleasant town, and while we enjoyed traveling the region, there was nothing in Brunswick we found worth visiting.

The electric was out (we recognize that wasn't the hosts fault) but we were not told the lodging was up three metal outdoor staircases. My husband is in his 70's, we would not have booked if we had known this. The host was rude. She handed us a lantern and pointed us in the direction of the stairs. Once inside, the entire apartment was heated by an extremely tiny wall mounted gas heater. It was 10 degrees below zero and after trying to tough it out til the electric came back on, we were forced to leave and look for alternative lodging. And, while we arrived at around 5:30pm, the host said the electric went out at 11:00 am and they failed to notify us despite having both our phone numbers. Terrible experience, especially the day before Christmas Eve.
