The house is nicely decorated inside, and the rooms were clean and tidy on arrival, apart from a small amount of building debris which the cleaners had put in one of the rooms. The location is good, and the house was easy to find and close to amenities.

The listing on Booking.com incorrectly stated that no payment is due until 60 days before, but the owners requested full payment by bank transfer immediately. There were various other inconsistencies, and all the communication about this was confusing and frankly seemed dodgy. We requested 5 twin rooms but on arrival the rooms were all made up as doubles, with no single bedding available; we managed for the first night using whatever we could find, and a housekeeper did come to try and fix this on the second day, but also couldn't find single duvets and left without fixing it, never coming back. There were also no tea towels or bin bags (we had to buy these), and not enough bath towels for everyone were provided. There is free parking for two cars, but this is at a hotel 10 minutes' walk away - we sent through our number plates, but the plates and our stay dates were not correctly given to the hotel. The house is, despite the name, not spacious - it has 10 beds, and the bedrooms are fine, but the kitchen is tiny and has a table that fits 4; the living room sofa also fits about 4-5 people - so we had to use a combination of cushions on the floor and sitting on the coffee table to fit all 10 in. The pans in the kitchen are too small to cook for 10 people, and while there are enough plates and crockery, 'spacious' is a real stretch if you're expecting 10 people to stay here. Although the decor is nice, there were several other issues - one of the bathroom sinks had the plug stuck in so it wouldn't drain; the door of the bathroom had a lock which broke, trapping someone in; the top floor room had very low sloping ceilings and was badly arranged for this; both toilet seats were loose, and when we arrived the wheelie bin was full to the top so we had nowhere to put rubbish (which the seagulls enjoyed, spreading it all over the yard). This property is not being well managed, and it's very much not spacious.
