This house was very comfortable for our group of 10. Everyone enjoyed the porches with the spectacular view. Indoors there was plenty of room for people to spread out. Any issues we had were quickly solved by Lina. As others have said, it's tricky driving in with the steep hill right at the gate and the winding narrow roads (don't miss the sharp right after the underpass!) I think most places in town would be tricky driving or parking anyway, so it was nice to have plenty of room for our 2 cars here. As others have mentioned noise travels between one upstairs bedroom and the downstairs bedrooms. I would definitely recommend this house for a group and the location is very handy for driving around the island.

We had a little bit of difficulty finding the house, but it was well worth it! This location is spectacular, you cannot beat views from the front and side porch. The house was beautiful and very clean. Communication was excellent and was available for any and all questions we had. It took us (age 30) 20 min to walk down to the marina and 25 min back- mainly because of the hill the house is on, it's very steep and makes you earn the view- if you don't want to walk, its a short drive down to the water. We would 1000% stay again and recommend anyone looking, to do the same.

The house is lovely, the view spectacular. The location is convenient for exploring. All in all, a great stay.

We were family with 9 members raging from 70 ish yr to 11yr. The house was perfectly layed out for us. The location is perfect (approximately 30 min to every place in the island. The view is breath taking, the ocean is shown from almost every spot and the village itself has some of the best beaches in Sao Miguel. Lina is an amazing host. Always willing to help and share advices. It takes a little time to adjust to geting to and from the house, as it is located half way a along a hill looking to the village below - but it is worth the effort and every avarge driver will have no problems at all. Highly recommended

This house is ideal for visiting San Miguel. Its located centrally in the island near Villa Franco de Campo so it was easy to get to any of the places we wished to visit. But we also loved just being at the house. Fantastic views, wonderful birdsong, very spacious and comfortable house. I recommend it highly.

Can’t say enough good stuff about this property. The views were amazing and it was just as described. Getting here was a little bit of a challenge (rent a small car!!) but once here we didn’t want to leave!

We had a wonderful stay! Lina and Claudia are wonderful hosts. Communication was easy! All the amenities of the house are so great just like the pictures. Great location and well up kept house. There is also a dryer which is a plus for families! We totally recommend staying here. Thank you Claudia and Lina!

This was a great place for our family to call our home away from home. Lots of space for all 9 of us. Bedrooms were great! Kitchen space worked well. Everything was clean. The owners Claudia and Lina were there to greet us when we arrived and were available at all times if needed. And the view is worth a visit in itself! Thank you Lina and Claudia for sharing your home with us and looking after us!

Great home in a great location. Nice central location so we were able to visit the entire island without ever being too far from the home. Its very roomy. 2 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. All bedrooms have AC which is great. Great off street parking with room for 3 vehicles including a very clean 1 car garage. I would highly recommend this home to anyone look for an extended stay in Sao Miguel.

It is in fact, a privilege to wake up every morning with such view, and enjoy every evening on that balcony. Beautiful house, large, clean, updated with all the conveniences you might need for a comfortable stay. Free Wi-Fi, parking place, washing machine, two bathrooms, microwave, dishwasher machine, AC in all divisions, everything. Rooms are ok, but note, if you stay on the ground floor you will listen every single noise from the room above, so choose wise who will sleep above. We were a group of 12 persons (kids and grownup) and the house was big enough for a quite comfortable stay. The location is great to visit São Miguel Island, as long as you have your own car. You are just 30 minutes from Ponta Delgada airport, and more or lees at the middle of the island, making it easy to visit the different spots. Owners were practical, always punctual, polite, welcome and nice. Must say all went ok in our experience.

The airport is only about 20 min.Also, the host Lina is great. She is very helpful and quick to respond to any inquiry. She speaks English well which was great because my Portuguese is fairly terrible. You can tell her family really cares for this place by the way they maintain it.All in all, this house is a fantastic rental in great spot on a special island. Highly reccomended.

My husband and I stayed here with our two adult children in September. The house was bigger than we needed but it was wonderful--the pictures are accurate. Claudia and Lina were terrific hosts, meeting us early, and providing us with a delightful basket of goodies--greatly appreciated after the overnight flight. They provided us with restaurant recommendations and freshly-picked potatoes! There was a payment glitch and they were very patient and accommodating while we got it sorted out. The town is within walking distance but it's all uphill on the way home. Keep your eyes open for the friendly little goat who lives in the neighborhood. It's a great house and I would definitely stay there again.

Nous avons passé une super semaine de vacances aux Ascores au mois de juin 2017. Nous étions un groupe de 10. La maison est très conviviale et confortable. Pièces de vie agréables et spacieuses. Cuisine équipée très pratique. BBQ et terrasse à l'extérieur très sympas. Situation centrale assez idéale pour se rendre aux différents endroits de l'île. Très belle vue sur la mer. A louer sans hésitation!

We stayed for 7 days at the end of August 2016 with my parents and our 10 year old daughter. The house had more than enough room for the 5 of us. The house itself is gorgeous and very well appointed with everything you could need. The view from the house is spectacular with an amazing view of the Islet of Villa Franca (a must do daytrip)! The location of the home provides easy access to the highway so that you can tour the island with ease. We would definitely return and recommend this to friends and family. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It was a great week

Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an heimisch gefühlt. Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Eine sehr saubere und gepflegte Unterkunft. Nach 5 Tage erfolgte eine komplette Reinigung des Hauses. Geräte und Küche sind top. Großzügige Räumlichkeiten. Garage vorhanden. Toller Blick und zentral gelegen um die Insel zu erkunden.

Casa excelente para acolher grupos grandes. Fomos 6 adultos e 6 crianças e fomos brindados com esta excelente habitação, confortável, espaçosa e extremamente bem equipada. Agradecemos a boa hospitalidade proporcionada pelas 2 irmãs traduzida na oferta de um cabaz de boas vindas. Qualquer situação que necessitasse da sua colaboração foi prontamente solucionada!!! A sua localização permite uma boa base para se partir à descoberta desta ilha. Se quer fugir ao massificado turismo de hotel esta é uma excelente opção!

Casa com uma excelente vista, em zona muito sossegada, mesmo em frente ao ilhéu de Vila Franca. Muito espaçosa, toda equipada e com óptimas condições de utilização e limpeza. A Cláudia e a Lina receberam-nos com muita simpatia, tendo sido prestáveis e eficientes. Altamente recomendável!

Our family had originally planned to stay at hotel on the island and when we came across this property, immediately canceled our reservations and booked here. Some in our party had never rented a private home before and were apprehensive - but the experience far exceeded everyone's expectations! The owners were prompt and professional in responding to our questions prior to the trip via email and phone. They met us on site to show us around the property and even provided a lovely welcome gift of local treats. The house itself is gorgeous, spotless, and has everything you could possibly need - dishes, cookware, laundry, wifi, cable, garage, A/C, dishwasher, clean linens, lovely furniture, a security system. It was centrally located for all of our day trips and had stunning views of Vila Franca do Campo and the island. Our biggest regret was not spending more time relaxing at this house during our trip! We look forward to staying here again in the future and will recommend it to all of our friends and family visiting Sao Miguel.

Casa muito bem situada (ideal para ficar em São Miguel, muito central na ilha), bem equipada, muito espaçosa , zona muito sossegada com uma vista fantástica para o ilhéu de Vila Franca. Permite grandes churrascadas ao final do dia e disfrutar da bela vista no Jardim. Proprietárias muito prestáveis e atenciosas. Recomendo 100%, a repetir.

Our week-long stay at the Sant'Ana property in Vila Franca do Campo was absolutely perfect. The home itself and grounds are gorgeous, clean, and well maintained, and the owners were extremely nice and helpful throughout the rental process and throughout our stay. The home is located in the hills above Vila Franca do Campo, so the views of the village, the ocean, and Ilheu Vila Franca (the little volcanic island you see in photos across from the town) are breathtaking. (Make sure you visit the island - it's only a 10-minute ferry ride from the marina, and was one of the highlights of our vacation.) We took advantage of every opportunity to sit on the porch and enjoy the view - we felt like we were in paradise. There is a garage for your rental car and wireless internet, which were both very convenient. The location of this home in the south central area of Sao Miguel was perfect because we enjoyed taking day trips all over the island and we were never too far away from home. We loved our stay and would recommend this home to anyone!
