Nice and comfy - loved the decor and the property.

The check in process was very simple and the house was clean and warm. The bathroom was clean and updated. I would rent this house again.

Lovely house. Enjoyed sipping wine in front of the fire, letting dogs explore the "back yard" and listening to the great album collection. We took advantage of the off-line feel even though we were able to get all we needed with the satellite wifi. Easy drive to skiing. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great place to kick back and relax.

Lovely, secluded cabin in a beautiful area of Vermont! The dirt road access was a bit of a challenge due to several very muddy patches, so do heed the owners' recommended prohibition against non-SUV vehicles. The cabin is delightful! The beds are comfortable, the decor tasteful and the fireplace is so comforting after being out in the snow. Our dachshund loved being away with the family! The owners were very quick to respond to our questions. The neighbor's work-yard spotlights were the only drawback to this cabin, as they detracted from star-gazing, but we would definitely stay here again! We had a wonderful time in this charming and comfortable home!

Loved staying here. It was extremely quiet and quaint. We enjoyed relaxing after long days of skiing with the fire and some movies or records while we relaxed. The bed was comfortable and shower was nice and hot! Would absolutely stay again.

This home was perfect for us! It was very cozy and quiet. There are a lot of hiking trails close enough for a nice day out. There is a great outdoor fire pit area with plenty of firewood and the grill is good to have for easy cooking. The indoor fireplace was also great to have. There is great communication with the hosts! We would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It’s well equipped, clean and in a natural/wooded setting that was a great escape from the city. Convenient to southern Vermont. We saw an owl and a golden eagle in the woods at the cottage during our stay. The owners were very welcoming and responsive.

The cottage's decor is beautiful & fun. The furniture & bed is comfortable. We loved the skylights which bring so much light into the cottage. The cottage had everything we needed our stay. We really enjoyed the woods in the back and went on the trails. We also loved eating our meals outside on the deck and making a campfire at night. We saw quite a few little frogs & toads and bats flying at night. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice location.

This was the perfect property to unplug and relax at (there isn't a clock in the house!). We enjoyed the deck and woods but were close enough to nearby towns and trails to explore the area easily. The house is cozy and well stocked with games, videos (and the record collection is pretty cool). If you are looking to get away, this is your place.

My husband and I stayed here with our two kids (13 & 8) and dogs. Lovely home with all the amenities. The kitchen was stacked with spices and condiments, the beds were comfortable, shower was great, etc. There are a ton of dvds and games for adults and kids. The decor is very cute and we loved the little touches throughout. We would definitely come back again.

Idyllic cabin in a great location for access to Mt. Snow and Stratton for a skiing weekend.

Very cozy and comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked. Washer and dryer on the property was a definite plus for us.

This charming well appointed property was the perfect getaway. An ideal location for day trips to a number of quaint VT towns and villages. Plenty of outdoor activities in the area. Several restaurants nearby or relax and dine on the deck. End a perfect day with conversation and laughter around the fire pit, spinning records, watching movies or playing cards. This property has it all.

The cozy cabin is terrific. They had everything we needed and more. Loved the available firewood and we sat around the fire pit each night. We would recommend this to anyone that would be happy out in the woods. It is a drive to markets etc but I would return tomorrow!

We really enjoyed our long weekend at Skene Acres. Very cozy, well appointed, cabin with everything you need. WiFi worked very well. Cabin offers seclusion and peace, while still being reasonably close to a few breweries and stores.

We loved this home tucked in the woods. Host was very nice and responsive. The bathroom was a bit small but large master bed room with skylights was nice. Enjoyed wood burning stove (thank you for providing woods) and had a nice dinner at outside deck which was very nice. Overall nice stay!

The perfect getaway, easy drive from central NJ (big plus in these covid times). This is a beautifully maintained cottage and grounds, The cottage is set back from the public road for total privacy. A big lawn in front, a large wooded area behind with a cleared path perfect for my morning dog walk. Although secluded, it is minutes to Riverbend Market for all the usual groceries and a wide range of local produce (don't skip the farm shop next door, and (if it is open) the antiques and auction house next to that. Townshend Dam and Townshend State park are even closer and have great hiking trails. We also picked our own fruit at Green Mountain Orchards (best donuts and apple cider).I appreciated the cleared bedroom closet/drawers and kitchen cupboard space. Not all hosts bother to do this.My college-aged son, our doggo, and I had a wonderful 5-night stay. I'd repeat the experience in a heartbeat! Oh - and we heard owls calling very night - very beautiful!
