Great little 100 year old cabin. Very cozy and close to shopping and dining.

I love the cabin! And the washer was nice, after staying all day in the mountains! I hope to return to Creede, and I will stay at the Fran again!

very good, except when I made the reservation the information I received stated there was a smart television. There was no television. Conneceted Mellisa and her reply was that the tv was removed and would not be replaced, therefore I think I should get a credit for no tv.

Cozy cabin right in town.

The little cabin is in the perfect location in downtown Creede. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. The charm and location made this place perfect for our stay. We made many trips per day walking up and down the main streets and enjoyed relaxing on the small porch. One note, as stated in the description, the mattress is very firm, so if you are adverse to a firm mattress you may want to take that into consideration.

This little place worked for us. The location is great. The neighbors are friendly. The only exceptions we had were: 1. The compact shower - not good for tall people 2. The front curtains are not wide enough to fully cover the window for a sense of privacy 3. Other than the front patio chairs, there are no comfortable chairs in which to relax after a long day 4. Only one partial roll of TP was provided - discovered too late that there were no extra rolls 5. The Flintstone-style bed. Regardless, we would probably stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at The Fran during our visit to the Creede area. We were on out adventure bikes and spent the days exploring in the mountains. Description was accurate when it says within walking distance of restaurants, grocery store, and shops in Creede. Cabin was a perfect size of the two of us and there were plenty of plugs for charging all of today's electronics -- helmet intercoms, GPS units, cell phones, satellite communicators, etc. Mel was great to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. Hope to stay again in the future.

Very nice little cabin. Setting on the front porch during a rainy week was awesome. I would rent this property again. One recommendation, a set of blinds in the font window.

Could definitely benefit from a comfy chair or 2. Bathroom is sufficient, but shower is difficult/narrow & sink is kinda rickety. A shelf above toilet would be nice. And if the door actually shut, would be a plus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at “The Fran”. This simple 100 year old cabin was perfect for my husband and I to call home for the week! We enjoyed being able to walk down Main Street to shop or just stroll in the evenings. The grocery store was just across the street, and we found all we needed to cook several meals in the cabin. We spent our mornings with coffee out on the porch and most of our late afternoons/ early evenings as well. Mel was the perfect host- always quick to respond to questions, and very patient 🤗 - Be prepared, it is an older cabin, so there are some quirks with one burner on the stove, which is explained clearly in your instructions. The laundry room has a bit of an odd smell- but hey, I’m on vacation so I didn’t do laundry! And we had issues with using the TV. Amazon doesn’t work on it, and we never could get our Netflix to work either (probably because I’m technologically challenged 🤪) - but again, we were on vacation so we just enjoyed each other’s company and spending more time outside enjoying the lovely cool summer weather! Bonus- the Wi-Fi works great! Also- we were so pleasantly surprised at how well insulated the cabin is. We kept the door open during the day to enjoy the weather, and at night never needed to turn on the heater. You won’t be disappointed with this little rustic gem.

The Fran is quaint, lovely, and had all we needed and more.The location is amazing, everything in Creede was comfortably walkable. The full kitchen was amazing, the bed is very comfortable, and there is ample storage everywhere in the cabin.

This is a fabulous cabin, compfortable bed, great kitchen and perfect location. However, the curtains are a little short and since it is on main street, people can see in?!!

Just the right amount of rusticity in this gorgeous valley.
