We had a very enjoyable short stay at the Hyatt Regency Dulles airport hotel.
The complimentary Hyatt hotel shuttle bus picked us up (along with other guests) at arrivals, conveniently located at curb 2G at IAD.
It’s just a short journey to the hotel located in a quiet area so no disturbances.
We had a King room which appeared spotless and plenty large enough for us both.
The bathroom area also houses the closet & in room safe. The toilet & shower area were separated by a door for privacy which was fine albeit a bit tight on space compared to other Hyatt Regency hotels that we’ve stayed in but this is a minor criticism. With a shower room this small, once you’ve run the hot water for a bit & step out - hey presto, you’ve got yourself a sauna!
After a good nights rest, we made it down for the buffet breakfast which was excellent. Our server, Ana was very pleasant and looked after us extremely well. Incidentally, when I was doing my research comparing room rates, I found it cheaper to prepay for the buffet breakfast rather than turn up as a ‘walk-in’ due to the prevailing exchange rate for GBP. Also I didn’t see any other dining options nearby. It’s so nice though to see smoked salmon as one of the cold choices along with all of the other usual offerings. They were also able to accommodate my request for an omelette which was cooked fresh at no extra charge.
Our overall impression of this hotel was excellent together with wonderful caring staff who were very gracious.

The bathroom was dirty. The bathroom walls have numerous stains, faucets rusted, and carpets moldy. The condition and cleanliness are not acceptable for a high end hotel like a Hyatt Regency, but indicative of a lower tier hotel.

A shuttle to the innovation stop works be better in addition to the airport. It would be better if the front desk folks knew the connection between the airport shuttle and the silver line station.

Ice machine doesn’t work, fridge does not work, the key card I was given did not work had to have remade 3 times. Overall the small things were an issue, the room otherwise was fine

Very nice stay. Only thing that could be better is an explanation of the parking policy. I arrived thinking I could pay to park for my total trip at the hotel, but their long-term parking (except their overnight parking for people staying each day they park) is run by third party groups.

I’d stayed here previously and many other times before, it smell and felt unclean. I think I stepped in poop. I can’t be certain but I think a dog was kept in the room. I don’t think I was on the pet floor nor do they allow pets on the property. Some thing wasn’t right, though.

The hotel receptionist that checked us in was curt. She didn’t smile, just asked for cc and Id and gave us room keys. She didn’t explain amenities or the parking fee which was surprising because it costs $15 to park in an open air, unsecured parking lot that should have been free.
The room was clean, but the air conditioning was noisy and blew directly on us when in bed. It was too cold on and too warm with it off. I had such a hard time trying to sleep. After finally adjusting to the room temperature and falling asleep at 3am, I was awakened by the woman in adjoining room at 7 am who was speaking loudly on the phone. The rooms lack soundproofing because I could clearly hear the woman's conversation. I gave up on going back to sleep because the conversation went on for at least an hour. I will not be staying here again.

I am normally happy about my stay but this time you all dropped the ball. When I checked in, my reservation was nowhere to be found. I didn't like being treated as if I were a burden by someone at the front desk. I have given you plenty of business and am totally disappointed. This was by no means the worst experience ever. BUT YOU ALL ARE SLIPPING!
The room was okay but I can tell it wan't cleaned as thoroughly as it should be. I was in room 520 and there was a blood spot in the sink. I know I didn't bleed. The duvet cover on the bed smelled like women's perfume. It seemed to be whoever cleaned my room seemed in a rush.
Please get your act together because you otherwise have a good place. I will not be as kind with my review next time I have a repeat of this!
