Tired hotel in the middle of nowhere felt like a care home

Stay was comfortable.
Service in restaurant and at the bar was extremely good.
The girls were very professional and polite.

Booked this for 7 people, for 2 nights. Despite 2 phone calls and an email to advise of travelling as two families, with 1 dog each - one dog to go into each room we booked, it was argued that they were not aware of it. Being charged at £25 per dog per night, for what, when you still end up in the poorest category room in the hotel. Plus £25 per dog per night deposit. Rooms and corridors smelled of damp, but room change was denied because of the dogs. We were 3 and 4 people booked per room, but towels and coffees, teas etc only catered for two. On the first night there was no space to sit and relax as a group with children, due to a funeral wake that took place, it was noisy and full of drunk people - the person who was meant to be remembered would have been ashamed. The hotel is advertised "with pool" and picked for that reason but on the leaflet that was handed out at arrival it stated that pool and jacuzzi are available for a fee of £5 per person and £2 per child. Breakfast was mediocre at best and not worth the price charged for it.
On a positive note, the bed was comfortable.
But overall we feel we have been ripped off. When we addressed the issued to the duty manager, they made it clear that they are not bothered, and "not aware".

Not bad overall. The old manor looks quite imposing but the rooms were nothing to write home about. Pretty standard and quite comfy. I only had a standard room which was OK. The shower curtain in the bathroom smelt and was an unpleasant shower.
Sure the premium rooms would have been better but shouldn't account for poor cleanliness
4.0
The room was spacious and I liked the all in one wet room. The building is old so if anyone is outside or loud in the bar you hear it. The one thing to note is the pool is not free - it's 5GBP for each use, which is not quite what was advertised. There's also no lift so you have to carry all luggage upstairs.

We enjoyed our stay overall, the bed was comfortable and we were upgraded to a family room. We were very disappointed with the breakfast, cheap produce, toaster didn't work. Teapots, cups and glasses where very small.
We wouldn't stay again.

My stay at Stourport Manor, although a short one, was very comfortable. Hotel facilities were exceptional. Unfortunately, due oversnoozing I didn’t get to sample their cuisine, except their full English in the mornings.
It did feel they were maybe short of staff. The staff that I did interact with were very polite and helpful.
Overall, no complaints whatsoever, would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely clean room. Comfy bed. Staff lovely. Couldn't find a lift. Carpark needs repairing. But all in all a good stsy

I can't lie... Definitely not a 4*... When we checked in, we were given a room where the bed had been slept in and there were used glasses everywhere - almost like a Goldilocks situation. Eventually, we were given a room that was "clean", if you ignore the several strands of hair in the bed, grimey shower and the pubes under the toilet seat. Overall, the interior is dated and not well managed. Other than cleanliness, the restaurant was closed on the day we arrived for a private function. Would have been good to know this in advance, or at least offer room service. Instead, a staff member suggested going to the festival they were hosting on the grounds, where we would have needed to pay entry. Separately, there was false advertising with the leisure facilities. On the first day, they closed 3 hours early (bank holiday, although would have been good to know in advance). The next day, we were then told we had to pay £5 per person for a day pass (this is not noted on Expedia). One lady staff member was good - very helpful on the bar. The rest of the staff were joking. I spoke to one as he was fleeing the reception desk, as I had a query about the gym fee. He said I'd need to speak to the manager and that one is on the way, then walked off. Nobody ever arrived. Overall, definitely not a 4 star experience.

Slow in kitchen, breakfast wasn’t great. Room service food left out overnight. In need of refresh. Polite staff who were very apologetic
5.0
Cleanliness was lacking, the bathroom was grotty. There was also a music event on that was very loud until late. The restaurant was shut as a result of the event. I think we should have been made aware of this at booking we would have stayed elsewhere.

The hotel is a 3 star hotel at best , very dated ,worn facilities with offensive odours

From the reception staff across to the Cleaners, all were very professional and helpful.

It was ok but nothing special considering its location and how good it could be. Needs some investment and definitely more staff to make it eork better. A place that size shouldn't be run with a handful of staff but then again i suppose thats the sign of the times.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was satisfactory but was ratger dismal it had a small window and dark/dull furnishings woukd benefit from a update. I am elderly and had difficulty with the stairs but as they were full l coped. The food was amazing.

This hotel felt quite tired and in need of a lift. The swimming pool was an extra cost. The room was noisy from other guests.

We arrived polite man on the desk , restaurant staff were very slow and all over the place , food came out , but waited for ages for cutlery , then my granddaughters fish strips had all black marks going through them , they looked awful for a child to eat , let alone an adult . Then had ice cream and again waited a time for cutlery . Just staff need to be more proactive with table service . Apart from that our stay was ok .

Had a lovely stay at Stourton manor hotel . Rooms were lovely and clean , hotel has a pool which children can use up to 7pm.
Only a short 10 minute drive from West Midlands Safari Park. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but breakfast was cheaper at the hotel than booking through any booking websites. £15 per person and £7 for children aged 3-15 and free for under 3s

Really really disappointed. Booked a bigger room which specifically stated the size would be 40 sqm - a 'Classic Family Room'. When we got there it was only a small room they gave us. When I complained they said all the rooms were full so I asked for a refund of the difference in price and they refused. I booked a bigger room because i was there with my 6 month old and I wanted space to entertain him. All they offered was a bottle of wine which was pretty useless because I was breast feeding. They claimed that that was the biggest room they had but the fire evacuation notice on the back of the door clearly showed that the rooms in the other wing were much bigger.
All I wanted was a refund of the difference which I think is more than fair. I complained to hotels.com they did nothing. I compained to the hotel by email multple times and they never responded.
DO NOT STAY HERE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR GUESTS.

Lovely building, plenty of parking, tired condition, could do with a refresh.

Very tired and dated hotel. Beds very uncomfortable

Sprawling hotel lacking modernity. But comfortable and great staff. Excellent dinner in the Brasserie and swim in the pool, which was lovely and clean but an extra fiver which was not advertised on the website. My room was ok, but looked out over dirty linen bins at the back of the hotel.

Very good. Initial reception was slow but otherwise god.
Room was good and comfortable.
4.0
Understaffed, room was executive but very small, faulty appliances, rotten windows, bed head board was right next to window, site was very rough £3 for a packet of crisps, fallen from grace

Stopped overnight after attending an event just up the road

The paint work in the room was a bit slapdash with paint smubged on doors from door frame . This gave the place a dont care feeling
Special offer meal deals were offered but had to be ordered via the app which i was unable to operate and staff member shrugged his shoulders.

Better than last time. New owners, staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast hot and fresh. Had 1 meal during 2 night stay. Better than expected!
Hotel is tired, needs a refurbishment. Good location. Plenty of free parking. Didn’t use leisure facilities, have to pay extra £5 to use pool!
Can only get better, would stay again if in area

Ok stay. Room shower hopeless, no spray just dribble. Comfortable bed.Breakfast was good but staff slow to replenish everything, staff clearly lacked training. No HP sauce.

Dirty sheets and bedding, however once complained I was moved.

This price is not worth it. We booked one night, when we arrived at the hotel, there keycard system something wrong, we got the room without keycard for few hours, really inconvenient. We went to swimming pool, though the door without keycard, so we can’t entre, we back to reception again, after that we were waiting for the leisure reception staff a long time, really angry about it.
4.0
Pleasant stay. Friendly night receptionist. Rooms were basic and small.
3.0
Check in was very slow. The bar and restaurant were closed. The leisure facilities were reduced times 7-11am on both days we were there. Breakfast was adequate but choice wasn’t great - for £15 per person I would expect a better selection. There was a Beer and Music Festival on for the weekend and guests should have been made aware of this when it impacts on hotel amenities and services. The hotel should have notified hotels.com so they could advise guests.

There wasn’t any hot water in the morning when I went for a shower. I let reception know and they said they would fix it. I then went down to reception after about 15 minutes as there still wasn’t any hot water only to be told to wait a bit longer.
Unfortunately I had to go to a meeting so really not ideal. They didn’t seem bothered either.

Very unimpressive property which is as warm a compliment as I can give it. Staff unhelpful, food close to dreadful. Pool charged as extra which they keep a secret until ask to use it. Place for a Saga pensioner bus trip where the clients have very low expectations.

Breakfast disapointing. Sausage and bacon rock hard and unedible. Could not get hot water out of shower Bath taps very hard,to turn off. Worst of all no heating in room in what was very cold weather. The heating came on for the last night of stay.
2.0
Despite the photos, this place is a 90s conference centre with a Victorian lodge on the end of it. The al fresco dining area advertised online and signposted at reception apparently doesn’t exist (no, I don’t understand either). There’s a separate fee to use the pool/gym/spa, which is not obvious from the website, and you don’t get robes or slippers or anything. Food was pretty poor, I had nachos and the salsa, guacamole and sour cream were all long-life gunge out of tubes. Staff are friendly and helpful but there aren’t enough of them - I waited 20 minutes to check in and then the same guy served me at the bar while more people queued at reception.
I was going to liken the room to a Premier Inn - functional but fine - until I tried to have a shower and couldn’t get it to work. Turned out the hose to the shower was so short it wouldn’t go above my head without kinking at the bottom, so I had to duck in the shower - I’m 5’7”. Even then the water pressure was very, very low and the water wasn’t really hot.
The photos, the word “manor” and the existence of the pool etc give the impression you’re getting something a little extra here but you really don’t. Honestly just book a Premier Inn, quality will be about the same but at least it’ll be efficient.

A good hotel . Lovely room . However was a bit cold and the duvets thin . Otherwise recommend!
1.0
Absolutely no hot water, stairway not vacuumed, bed hard, walls so thin might have had the people next door stay in our room, mould on walls, paint peeling, I paid extra for hot, grilled chicken on my salad but it was very cold—not one I’d care to stay in again.
3.0
Hotel was very run down, receptionist on arrival was very friendly and helpful but a lot of the staff it seemed if you asked for anything it was a hardship.
We stayed for 2 nights and from the second night there was no hot water or heating which wasnt picked up on until the morning, in which the hotel manager was very unhelpful and unwilling to compensate at all when no one could wash with hot water or have their heating on.
3.0
Lovely place to stay however all we could hear from our room was barking dogs all night, people walking back and forth in the corridors shouting with no consideration for those who were in bed. Breakfast very overpriced, however staff were friendly and helpful. Shame breakfast wasn’t in the price of the room, lovely for those who want to bring there dog but maybe consider giving them a room the other side of the building to prevent those with out there dogs from being woken up. Second night stay was better fell a sleep to then being woken up but the fire alarm which went off 5times to then being told it was a false alarm
