Everything was amazing. The elevator was the only downside. Been staying here since 2017 and it never disappoints. You have to get a beach view room to enjoy the stay. Thank you for another epic family beach vacation! The front desk guys are amazing as well. They have watched my son grow up. Dont let negative reviews detour you from this amazing gem!

Definitely amazing as far as convenience and location to the beach. The beach is literally steps away. The staff on the phone and in person were nice. Pros and cons: It’s outdated on the exterior. The beds were hard. Extremely hard. The room itself wasn’t bad. Nicely remodeled. Clean sheets and towels. The bathroom was strange. It lacks privacy from the sliding barn door. How does it not have a door that seals? I can see into the shower from the hall. Not a lot of amenities. However if you want a hotel right next to the beach with free parking, this is an affordable option.

Near to Ocean and relatives home.

I booked due to proximity to beach... that is all it was good for. The building is outdated. Broken doors, broken glass mirrors at entry, elevator was out if service. The wall outlets bare held the charging cords. I had to go buy tape to hold it up. I walked barefoot to front desk which was just 2 doirs diwn the hall. When i got back to room my feet were black as night. Oil or just years od grim embedded throught the carpeting. Utterly disgusting. The bathroom had 1980s towel rack and wooden toothbrush holder, yuck. Sinks were shell shaped. Out of date. This whole hotel needs to be remodeled. Parking is underground, which was fine, stair from garage to the upper level where front desk is, had the same nasty filty carpet, and handrails were grimy and sticky. Beside remodel. How about just a professional cleaning company come in? I wont be stay there ever again

Love staying at an affordable place close to the beach

This property was not as described and was absolutely filthy. The room was supposed to be a king and it was two queens which is fine. The complimentary lotion and soap were half used. The door would not latch completely. The carpet was stained. We left and asked to cancel our room as it was unsanitary and not as described. The desk person stated we would have to go through Expedia for a refund and would not provide any paperwork indicating we cancelled our stay

Overall location was good, right in front of the beach and lots of locations to eat. Rooms were updated. The hotel is a beach bum hotel not updated around the area but overall a good stay. Parking below was good plenty of room and there was security.

This motel is a good value for the money and the location is fantastic! Morning walks on the beach or the Bolsa Chica wetlands with nearby coffee is a great way to start the day. Parking is very easy and the great dining options are plentiful.

Pre booked stay, drove 5.5 hrs away with 80 year old mom to find out elevator was out of order. Mom had to walk flights of stairs with not even offering help from the staff. Mr Khan argued with me because I had asked for a discount or refund for my stay. Will never come back again.

It's pretty beat up from the outside and was pleasantly surprised with the room as it was somewhat updated and comfortable. The location across the street with free parking is key to this place.

It was just old and dated and all the doors to the building were old and broken and propped open. Didn’t feel safe at all. But right on the beach and everything was very walkable and the staff was all friendly. The room was better than the general property condition and had a nice fridge and microwave and good shower.

Not happy that there was homeless sleeping in parking spaces where we had to park our car and the bed in the hotel was so incredibly squeaky and absolutely no water pressure

Wheelchair accessible

Terrible customer service and the rooms were not clean. Would not recommend this property to anyone with a family. People were sleeping outside near the property and in the dining area in the morning. Alarm clock was broken and kept going off, phone was humming all night so we unplugged and most important the AC or heat didn’t work. Looked like the outlet caught on fire and was never fixed.

Was a quick over night beach front getaway , great location. Super easy walk- to beach . And super max across street was excellent. . Will book this hotel again

Bums & unsafe

Literally on the beach was perfect we had the 2 queens suit was a big room with a large bathroom, water pressure was a little low but had plenty of hot water.

I love this place!

Hotel was fine for one night. It was clean, but the bathroom was super small and the hair dryer was ancient. Plugs were sparse too. Just a simple place.

This hotel is decades old but clean, quiet, and well maintained. It's claim to fame is being directly across from the beach.

We chose this hotel for it's location (close to an event we were attending). Check-in/out was easy - friendly personnel. The room was small and dated but very clean. The only negative was that our room was on Pacific Coast Highway which was extremely noisy so either request a room on the opposite side of PCH or bring earplugs. (I ended up using white noise on my cell phone to help drown it out a bit). Otherwise it was a good price for the location.

Used to be a good hotel for the money. No longer provides breakfast. Rooms are clean but in need of upgrades.

Don’t expect a 5 star hotel. This is clearly an older hotel with fewer amenities than some but you cannot complain. Super affordable and right on the beach. I loved it!

Generally run down. Door frame in the bathroom was really rusty, wallpaper peeling in the room, the shower head was so corroded water was coming out at all angles, no breakfast, hobos sleeping in the parking lot, etc. The bed and pillows may be the least comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept on. The last hotel I stayed in in Huntington Beach had cockroaches and I kinda wish I'd stayed at that hotel again. That all being said, the heat worked and no water got in when it rained. So it functioned as a room. Nobody stole my stuff, and I didn't find any bugs in the room. 3/5 seems fair. In no world does it deserve a 4/5 though.

Accomodations were good. I got a room upgrade. The only drawback is that the it is not the most walkable location

Rather expensive for the accommodations, but considering the location, not terrible. Most other options are comparable, but this is a dated motel. There are damaged items, notably glass and mirrors, throughout. Homeless are camping in the parking garage. The room is reasonable, clean enough.

The hotel has not been updated since the late 90s. If you need a place to get your head down it’s fine, but don’t expect anything more.

Room description on website was not true to actual check in. Picture clearly shows balcony which ate only on the ocean view side. When we checked in we were told that we did not book the ocean view but he could change it for additional $45. The ‘choose’ a room does not have an option to indicate ocean view. The Manager is blaming your website, and I feel it was a sham. These new owners/ managers are not representing The Wyndham Company’s customer service. Their website should be accurate and/or updated. Been coming here for over 5 years and this was the 1st time we had such an issue

I thought for the price 208.00 total that the breakfast was included. No breakfast and the doors are left open and anyone can get in.

Very reasonable considering the location and proximity to all areas
