i found two roaches in my room they hotel moved me to another room but i was not able to sleep after that.

It took 15 minutes for the shower water to heat up. The room was nice enough, but the tub was less than clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is an older hotel but it was really nice. I enjoyed it a lot. It was clean. It had no smells and there were no issues. The staff were fantastic and knew the area very well.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. It used to be nice, but now it looks very worn out. Our room had a dirty carpet, drain did not work properly in bathroom tub, we only got one piece of soap, elevator was not showing the L for Lobby, and the whole place looked tired.

The lock on the door needs fixing! I had to commit a borderline burglary to get in the room! Other than that it was cool!

A friend and I stayed during a woman's conference. We enjoyed the location and found the room to be much more than adequate. Yes, there is popcorn ceilings and a few things that could be updated, but it was built in 1913, and we found our room to be comfortable, clean, and would definitely stay there again. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig machine and the rooms were very spacious. No funny smells, a confortable bed, ac, and overall a great place.

Location is great and rooms are good. Service on the other hand was absent. When the room Keurig didn’t work, we went to the front desk and asked for a replacement or have it fixed. We received a cold and shrugged shoulders response saying there is nothing they could do.

The hotel was perfectly clean, but was dated. If the bar and restaurant could be opened, this would be a real boost to the place, also. But the property is beautiful, the building is really historical in nature. The management was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again for a very comfortable night's sleep.

Enjoyed our stay in the Lynchburg Grand. The hotel gets some not so great reviews but after staying there I don’t know why. It was clean and it was nice to be able to walk to restaurants in downtown Lynchburg. Cute mountain town, too bad there’s not more going on there. I thought the random pianos scattered around for anyone to play was a really cool touch.

Its a beautiful hotel just needs modern TLC and get rid of those noisy wall HVAC's and refrigerators, the carpet needs replacing I dont think the pool was open. The beds were comfortable!!! Lots of great pillows!! The ballrooms need air/ fan supply air was stuffy with everyone inside but staff were excellent and its in a clean beautiful city. Very nice and Ill stay there again for sure

Found a spider in the bed, the telephone in room 521 does not work, the only thing that look as if it had been touched was the bedding, sink in bathroom was not cleaned, requested for a room change. Receive room change 322 that room was a little better than previous room. Ac unit hasn’t been touched in a while you can see dust in it, the bathroom counter was dirty, the hotel itself has a weird smell, outdated conditions, I’ve stayed in motels that were cleaner than this hotel, this hotel really has gone down. Hotel could use some major upgrades and new housekeeping. Rooms seems they hadn’t been stayed in pre COVID and hasn’t been touched.

This is not a 3 star hotel that is advertised. It’s outdated and appears to not have a renovation since the 80’s. Everything is old, outdated and the ice maker did not work. There is no restaurant, the room has so outdated it was terrible. The mattress was from Motel 8. This hotel needs to close until someone buys it and does a total refit. The pool looks like it hasn’t been used for 30 years. Everything looks like it hasn’t been used for 30 to 40 years. It’s a hotel I feel like I’ve been back in time. It’s almost scary. They need to lose 3 star immediately. And go to a 1 star.

Hotel needs a serious update. Popcorn ceiling and bathroom outdated. Can tell back in the day the hotel used to be grand and beautiful. One working elevator the entire time we was there. Furniture in the room was old and the mini fridge barely worked.

Great location, free parking in parking deck right next door, was able to check in hours early as hotel was not busy at all. You can picture this hotel in its heyday but has definitely seen better times. Staff was friendly. Comfortable walk all over the business district and to the river walk and various restaurants.
Downside: its like a ghost town. Restaurant is closed. Pool is closed. No food options. Vending machines that only sometimes worked for us. Ice machine not working on our floor. I never saw anyone other hotel guests!
Overall, we will stay again. Its in a prime location for a great price. Affordability and convenience mean the most to me. And checking in at noon was amazing. My teen thought that it gave creepy abandoned hotel vibes that he is into ...especially in the dark wood elevators and the old era music playing as we walked around with no other guest in sight lol.

Just an old worn out hotel needing renovation. No food or drink except 4 vending machines. Water literally did not drain in tub. So tub could never be cleaned. Carpet coming up and dirty. Ice machines only worked on 3 and 8 floor.
You could tell this used to be a very nice hotel with event rooms, dining and bar service maybe in the 1980’s.
Staff were super nice. Great location with free parking.
