We enjoyed our stay. Our puppy was happy as long as he could look out the window. We will get a bigger room next time. Excellent change to tv satellite companies. Convenient for all our appts. Do need new pillows. But bed was comfortable

Would not recommend, will not be staying here ever again. When we arrived we were given the room right next to the elevator, on the first floor. We asked for another one, and there was only one other, which was provided, but when we walked into our room and it STUNK like mildew. We ended up turning off the AC unit and that helped, but then it's hot/muggy/less smell, but still smelly. The walls were paper thin - we were able to hear the neighbors TV, opening a drink, sneezing - all through the wall. I think the people above us rearranged their whole hotel room based on the noise. The breakfast was nothing special, I'm not sure where other people have been having hotel breakfast and rave about this one, but this was typical for most hotels.

I have reviewed this hotel previously and found it to be more than adequate, however, this time I discovered the BR sink was once again clogged. Seems to be a recurring problem. Response was once again slow, but once again, addressed. After we arrived home, I discovered that Expedia was paid but we were charged hundreds of dollars extra with no explanation. I called the hotel several times and it took several days for the manager to call me back and promise a refund. Some money was refunded based on "trainee" staff, but the charges are so convoluted that I believe I'm still overcharged a significant amount. I will let it go as I don't have the time to deal with it. I will not stay here again as I am not a lawyer not an accountant.

We have stayed here twice. We enjoy the hotel very much. Everyone is nice, and updated throughout the hotel. Flowers are beautiful around the patio area. Only thing that would be nice is if they fixed the jets in the hot tub. Only half work.

We enjoyed our stay. The entire property is clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious! The bed was really comfortable- we actually overslept because of it. Next time we go to Des Moines we’ll stay here again.

This hotel was the halfway point overnight stop on our long drive from Denver to Cleveland. Check in was easy; parking was very accessible; the complimentary breakfast and the pet-friendly options were a huge plus for us. Our room was right next to the elevator which made it easier for my spouse who lives with a disability. The beds were comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Easy access to the interstate and there are two gas stations and some restaurants very close by. We would stay here again and recommend it to other travelers.

Very clean and appeared to be newly renovated. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfy. No complaints. If I had to be nit picky I’d say the bathroom needed a little maintenance. Nothing serious just a loose shower handle, the covers for the safety handles were were not anttached, and a running toilet which I repaired. You’re welcome.

Our stay at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Des Moines West Clive was excellent. It was spotless, updated, and great customer service upon check-in and if we had any questions. The attendant (I think the manager) was very friendly. I would highly recommend staying here.

Hotel manager was friendly, helpful and responsive. I had concerns about being in the room directly across from the elevator (noise from ppl talking and 'ding' when elevator arrived on the floor) and she was able to move us to another room.
Hotel was very busy and full of inconsiderate guests. Many kids in pool area running & jumping into pool & hot tub, parents were present but more interested in watching game on TV in patio area, drinking and eating pizza.

There's nothing to hate about this hotel. The common areas are very clean and are well taken care of. Pool and hot tub are decent. Patio area has it all including lots of seating, visual fireplace and a large TV, all of which is only accessible from the pool area. Gas grill for guest use is a wonderful touch! The breakfast is great, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, pancakes, waffles and chocolate waffles, hot eggs biscuits and gravy also. Coffee machine available 24/7 and has several options, 4 flavor pumps sit next to it.
I've returned 2x now and planning a 3rd trip. Best budget hotel experience!

We really enjoy the breakfast. Not overly fancy, but what should be hot us and what should be cold is cold.
The staff last year was much more interactive and fun to be around, this year they were professional, but didn't interact much. Some guests may like that arrangement, but we did enjoy them.
We do plan on staying again...unless they stop serving breakfast.

The lady at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms and hotel was clean. The only downsides were that the patio closed at 11, and most of the items for the continental breakfast were out. The staff was friendly however.

The hotel staff do not check ID’s and let people check into other peoples rooms. The cleaning staff cannot read the signs on the doors and will come into your room even if your sign says do not disturb. The front desk staff is the one who informed us of that. The staff will get attitudes and argue with customers when simply asking a question about something that was left behind.
