The hotel was clean. The breakfast was superb. The front desk was not that helpful. For example, there were no towels at the pool and after calling them, we had to go to the desk to get more towels. When leaving, we wanted a copy of the bill, they told us they would email it to us and we have never received it. So the people at the front desk need to care more!

Nice clean room. Only thing was the tub. The nozzle to turn the water on was difficult to turn on and off. Made more of a mess if anything. Other than that the breakfast was amazing and the staff were incredibky nice.

The couch is very dated orange n uncomfortable to sit the mattress are hard and not good for side sleeping no give and fills its pushing back on you. Everyone here has been very friendly and attentive if we need anything. Breakfast was good and hot.

Really good a lot better than a lot of other hotels I’ve visited. Two complaints. The walls are really thin and the vending machine charged me $6 for a soda.

This Hampton Inn is below most Hampton Inns standards. We had no smoke. Alarm, the main lamp was missing the top so it wobbled every time you brushed it, there were two light bulbs out in the ceiling fixture in the bathroom, the shower leaked and had mildew, but the final issue was the nozzle in the shower was all wonky and finally came off! No shower on our second morning!!! The manager did give us one night free after my husband took the handle to the front desk. We had several people staying there also, each one of their rooms had issues also. The owner really needs to renovate this place in order to quit getting bad reviews!l

We stayed one night for a quick trip. The room was a place to sleep, we didn't spend much time in it. The breakfast was good.

I’m a long-term member of Hilton Hotels and almost always find them to be top-notch. The Hampton Inn Taos continued that tradition with a quick check in, clean and comfortable room, a quiet evening and a decent breakfast buffet in the morning. Having a maintenance background, I noticed a couple of very small maintenance issues, but the only one impacting me was the ice machine was out of commission – not good for a day when I wanted to fill my mug up for the road. In conclusion, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here next time I’m in Taos.

The staff was great! The property was rundown. The air conditioning was at 89 in the lobby. The hallway and elevator were uncomfortably hot. Breakfast was mediocre. This was barely acceptable if it would have been a $100 but for $200 it was so overpriced.

For a few years now I have stayed at this Hampton Inn when I visit Taos. The hotel is old but it has always been extremely clean, everything works, and it’s safe and quiet. This time, though, I didn’t get very much sleep because the curtains have been removed. There is just one blind that probably is supposed to block the outside lights but it definitely did not. My room was like as if the sun was shining in all night. Also on the floor was the a previous visitors’ take out salad dressing container’s lid.

There was a hole in the wall behind the door, prior renters food in the fridge, stained and sticky carpet. If the area in taos wasn't sold out we would have moved hotels

This was a poor experience. The bed frames of both beds were broken and the slightest movement caused a loud screeching, unstable noise all night. I have made contact with the hotel 6 times and have not been able to speak to the manager despite being told they would call me. There were other concerns, like a used wash towel hanging on the shower curtain, stained linens, and a broken night stand. The breakfast was nice, however I would not recommend this hotel.

All two luggage carts are broken. The metal railing comes apart from the wheeled platform and are unusable.
The ice machine on the second floor had a "No service" sign when we stayed in June and the sign is still there in August -the hottest month of the year. How can the manager allow the ice machine to remain broken for two months?

I was charged two times, they were no service at front desk. I left a blanket and called right away and went back later that day and they could not locate my belongings.

Property was under construction it was very hard to fine parking close by, had to park far from building, the area where we parked felt unsafe. The young lady working the evening shift (Ariel) was so so nice. The morning when we were checking out we had a bad experience with another staff member (Patrick) we were putting our luggage on the luggage cart and he came from nowhere and we didn’t see him, he didn’t say excuse me or anything but he was mad, rude, and hateful towards us, we are all elderly so it could’ve ended badly if any of us had been pushed or fallen

Made accommodations a month before staying. Was given a room that was right in front of the common area (which made zero sense. Like, who designed this? The floor above me had severe sub level issues. Very loud. Luckily, was given another room. Pool was closed for the majority of my stay, although a sister hotel was offered. Breakfast was the same every day. The had construction workers working on the surrounding pavement/parking areas. I believe most of them very given rooms and stayed there at night. A little sand/dirt patch next door with lovely Prairie Dogs had brush and litter from people who don't care about the planet.

Taos didnt have a lot of choices with decent reviews so we decided to go with a respected name for a higher price with better reviews. We got there and was confronted with one of the cheech and chong brothers explaining our room was overbooked by the "third party" who does this all the time. Fix it woth an upgrade was his solution. Ok... Not really. Tub was gross. Carpets were stained as was the upholstered chair. Bed was poorly made. No cups in the room. No working ice maker could be found. Bed was comfortable on one side only as the frame seemed to be broken. Door to room was not secure when we reached it. Overall a pretty poor experience for the orice we paid. Glad to leave Taos behind us in our travels.

hotel was dirty , outdated and in major need of some improvements.. I travel slot and prefer Hilton. This might be the worst hotel I had been to in years …
We cancelled upon checking in and were referred to the El Monte Somgrado which was FABULOUS!!!!!!!! It all worked out and thankful for the fabulous young lady working check in at the Hampton. She referred me to the property.
