The property and furnishings are run down

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, this may be it. It is definitely a low budget facility. The parking lot and landscaping around the facility is not being cared for or cleaned. Place smells of cigarette smoke even though I was in a non-smoking room. Forget breakfast, it's just bread, cereal and coffee. The pictures online make it look much better than it really is.

I would definitely pass on this hotel

It was the cheapest room I could find in the area. It was okay. Everything old or broken

The room smelled like an ashtray, our clothes smelled , the shower was filthy, it was beyond terrible.

A clean bathroom and well made clean bed is the most important in a hotel room. No Kleenex by bathroom sink area! The soap holder had black marks over half the dish The beds only had two pillows each and sheets were wrinkled. Really disappointed and will definitely not stay here again especially for the amount of money paid!

It's not the same as on the pictures, looks a lot older and not taking care of. Rooms can definitely use some serious renovation.

its close to town

I like the price . The sheapeast one in the area. It had hair in th ever and bathroom. Not towers in the hotel. The tilt shampoo was 1/2 empty.

You get what you pay for! The mattress I slept on was uncomfortable, and uneven! I had to request towels. Staff was friendly

Nice staff and clean

This is by far one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. The pictures looked fair for the price point, and I picked this one specifically for the pool. But when we got their the pictures were very obviously old ones. The outside of the building looked old and dirty, and the pool was green. I hoped for the best anyway but the lobby didn’t look much better and the elevator looked like one from a parking garage inside of it. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures at all. There were random holes in some of the walls and the walls were dirty. The bathroom walls and floor were also dirty and it looked like no one had cleaned the room from the prior stay - or quite frankly for a while. The shower was moldy and seriously deteriorated. They only gave us two hand towels and the soap was motel 6 soap - literally it has the motel 6 logo on it. Between all of the cleaning supplies we had to purchase just to clean the room ourselves to feel comfortable touching anything, and the towels we had to buy to take showers, we could have paid for the better hotel. We suggested my parents stay there so we could all be in the same hotel and I felt terrible when they said they experienced the same, but also walked into a room that smelled like cigarettes. I’m not very picky or difficult to please and I couldn’t even swallow this one. We almost were at the point where we wanted to just eat the loss and find another hotel. I wouldn’t this to anyone, ever.

The location

We knew what we were paying for as it was the cheapest hotel close to the Santa Cruz area, but the landscape and parking lot were filthy with garbage animal poop and cigarettes. Once inside carpets dirty elevator very scary. The room looked nice but found no towels, a used bar of soap in the shower, water stain on cracking, pillows were paper thin. I informed head desk about no towels and used bar of soap and was told they take care of it. Well the towels were as thin as paper towels and well the bar of soap was still there. Agin I understand the price but it shouldn’t reflect the cleanliness of the stay that much. Stay away from this place pay the extra $.

The pictures of the rooms in the web site looked pretty nice, but the room was outdated the blanket was old the carpet was dirty there was mold in the bathroom, there was no toiletries or towels they only had a hand wash towels and a soap, the room had a cigarette smell, we had to open the window to air it out, it didn’t even had a container for ice the floor at the lobby was dirty, overall it was very dirty and very pricey we will never stay in this hotel ever again.

The towels and sheets are dirty and stained. Bathroom is dirty and smelly. The whole hotel is run down.

The ice machine was out of order.

Good location. That is why we didnt walk out as soon as we got there. The building, furniture and feel are very old. I suggest bringing slippers, your own sheets and towels and toiletries. The pool is not in working condition so don't stay here for that. Price was affordable and like I said location was awesome because it was in the middle of all the coastal things we were looking to do during this trip.

Bathroom light didnt work. TV didnt work. Carpets were so stained and horrible looking we couldnt take our shoes off. The bottom of the tub coming apart--we couldnt take a bath. The parking lot was half dirt and skunks tried to spray us when we got out of the car!!! They feed skunks, racoons and feral cats outside. SKunks actually backed up and almost hit us as we left the car, the ice machine looked like it had come, literally, from a city dump.

It was close to town. The bedspreads had stains. The rugs smelled musty.

It was okay

Pretty run down hotel. Room is large but no charm at all. The bedspread has stains, although seems washed and cleaned. Window overlooks Highway 1. AC is working but pretty loud. OK for 1 night and convenient to Santa Cruz where we were going to the wedding.

Horribly gross. Smells weird. The lobby is disgusting and the rooms aren’t cleaned. The amount of times I had to call and ring the door bell to get some assistance was ridiculous and when the person at front finally came up, she had the audacity to tell me that ringing the bell once was enough.

Check in was easy, friendly. The room was clean but … property old run down needs major paint repairs cleaner safer parking lot. Will not be returning. Thank you

The property had potential, but when got into bed, the bedding was really badly stained on both beds. Rooms had a cigarette smell to them. We were tired and just said oh well. In the morning when i showered there was only one towel. Called the lobby and they never brought one up. I went down stairs to get one myself and I couldn’t find any employees.

The room was in desperate need of refurbishment. Tub in bathroom was terribly stained. Received 4 towels that weren’t much bigger than floor mats. No washcloths or hand towels. Pool was not working. Only the woman behind the checkin counter spoke English.

The door locks were modern and in good shape, although we had to get the keys recoded twice during the weekend. The mattresses had plastic coverings which were a bit uncomfortable. Good parking. Near the freeway. There is a good breakfast place down the street towards town.
