Always a good stay at this hotel. Close to restaurants and the local venue within walking distance. Clean pool, excellent buffet breakfast, and friendly staff. Plenty of parking too. The black out shades are a plus.

This is a nice place to stay - with some great amenities including a peloton bike in the gym. The reason for the 4 star is the value on the weekend, when the price surged to nearly $300/night, which is not a good value for this area. Having said that, I would stay there again.

A one night stay turned out to be a three hour stay. After checking-in, we reentered the hotel by the side entrance closer to our room. We were hit by an intense odor of bleach coming from one of the rooms that was being cleaned. It was throughout the hallway. Upon entering our room, the odor was just as bad and the floors were sticky, as if they were mopped with dirty bleach water. The air-conditioner wasn't even on. We attempted to rest after a long day of hiking but the smell was irritating our eyes, nose and mouth. One of the pillows smelled like a person's dirty hair. We were just disgusted at that point. We went to the second and third floor to see if it was any better and the smell was also musty and old. At that point, we decided to leave. We alerted the front desk and ended up spending our evening in heavy traffic just to get home. On a side note: the young women with the bright orange hair, who checked us in, acted as if she was doing us a favor :{. She was rude and definitely needs re-training. I have stayed in other Hampton Inns and have never experienced this.

Was there for three nights. Ran out of towels. No one took out the trash. Bed linens needed to be washed. Comforters were in need of cleaning. I always check for bedbugs. I didn’t find any bedbugs, but did find French fries under the mattress.

The room was dirty, the bed had very dirty bed lining full of hairn bathroom was dirty as well the pillow smell sweat, they have to do better in cleaning, custumer service was good but i have to change the bed myself the property feels like they beeing using it for homeless ppl. I wont go back to that hampton.

the door to my room was sticky and wouldn’t close properly, there was eye makeup on the pillow that wasnt mine, the floors were dirty with a dried sticky spot on checkin, the clerk wouldn’t extend my stay thru Wed evening, said i had to go online to do that. Don’t know if this is a corporate strore or franchise but whichever…Stroudsburg Hampton Inn did not live up to our expectations or Hampton Inn standards and experience.

They said they were overbooked and cancelled my reservation at checkin. Porsha wasn’t friendly or professional about it either. Very flippant and unapologetic about the overbooking. Told me to call hotels/expedia to see if I would get a cancellation penalty or any refund. Fortunately hotels.com didn’t charge me anything and offered me a coupon for the mistake.

EASY CHECK-IN UPON ARRIVAL. PLEASANT STAFF. RECEPTION AREA FURNITURE WAS BEYOND AWFUL. FABRIC CHAIRS WERE DIRTY AND TERRIBLY STAINED. ONE VINYL SOFA HAD A RIP WITH THE STUFFING SHOWING. THE ROOMS WERE ADEQUATE IN SIZE. THE BEDS WERE NOT AT ALL COMFORTABLE. THE WINDOWS WERE TOTALLY FOGGED UP SO THE VIEW WAS OBSCURED. BATHROOM WAS A GOOD SIZE. THE FLOOR WAS MADE TO LOOK LIKE WEATHERED BARN WOOD TILE. VERY HARD TO TELL IF IT WAS ACTUALLY CLEAN??? THE BATHTUB DID NOT DRAIN WELL DURING A SHOWER, SO YOU WOULD BE STANDING IN WATER ANKLE DEEP BY THE TIME YOU EXITED THE SHOWER. THERE WAS A SHORTAGE OF TOWELS. LIMITED PLACES TO DISCARD TRASH. INTERNET WAS EASY TO USE AND QUICK. BREAKFAST WAS INCLUDED WHICH WAS NICE. REGULAR FARE WAS SERVED. POOL WAS INDOORS WITH MINIMAL VENTILATION SO IT WAS EXTREMELY WARM IN THE POOL ROOM. ALMOST AS HOT AS BEING OUTSIDE, SMELLED OF STRONG CHLORINE. ALL IN ALL THIS LOCATION WAS CONVENIENT FOR THE PURPOSE I WAS VISITING THE AREA, BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ANY OTHER REASON. THIS LOCATION IS NOT UP TO HAMPTON INN STANDARDS BY ANY MEANS.

I liked it was walking distance to downtown. The room should have been cleaner. The floors were dirty and we had trouble with our toilet flushing. We stay at alot of Hamptons and this was not up to the usual hampton standards

I liked the room- very comfortable and the staff were friendly & most accommodating. Check-in was a breeze. The gym was adequate but the stationery bikes did not work. Also, although the hotel offers a complementary breakfast, the selections did not include foods for people with diabetes and cholesterol issues. Suggest that the hotel adds egg white omelette with just veggies and onion (no cheese or bacon/ham/sausage in the egg) for people with health issues. Overall I rate the hotel above average.

I stay at Hampton Inn everywhere. This particular location is very run down and not that clean. Our room had a terrible odor, the adjoining room we had did not. Breakfast area was very small and not that clean. Area right around the hotel did not feel safe. The main street area was OK

The room floor was very sticky and bathroom dirty. The person at check in said they would get someone to clean. We went out for rest of the day and when returned still dirty. I was able to wipe off some stuff off of the tub with my damp wash cloth with no effort. The bed was an old lumpy mattress. The refrigerator smelled moldy. The Breakfast food was really poor . They had a waffle maker but when I got the batter to come out of the container it was separated so probably old just sitting in the machine a long time. We checked out early not staying the second night of the booked stay. The person at the desk never asked if anything was wrong and could not provide a receipt because stated they couldn't officially check us out until tomorrow the end of the stay. Place is located in a rundown neighborhood. I wouldn't recommend it in any way . I'm not sure where the good reviews are coming from. Maybe Hampton in general because I have stayed at pleasant Hampton inns myself. This place is not at Hampton in quality.
