For the price, this hotel was beautiful in the lobby, perfect location but the room was just so so. The beds were comfortable but the sheets came off the mattress easily. The bathrooms are inexcusably small after a five year remodel. Our check in and check out was very nice, but the people who stayed there were very unfriendly.

The stay was great. It is downtown on a busy intersection so there was a lot of traffic noise. The windows are old and didnt lock so there was a bit of a draft that may be uncomfortable during the winter. Staff were really nice and the hotel was clean and comfortable.

We were disappointed with the breakfast. My husband ordered an egg dish, which didn’t come with any toast. My egg dish had one slice cut in half so I gave him mine. They never gave us any condiments, so had to flag down some one to get those for us. By the time we got the butter, jam and ketchup our food was cold. The Marcus Whitman offers great amenities for the traveler. From a comfortable bed to great food and a wonderful location, they have it covered. We did find our room in the west section to be a bit dark, but other than that it was a nice stay.

The staff was very friendly and the lounge and breakfast was excellent. The room itself was not great. I was disappointed for the amount they charge I would expect more. Our shower also needed some serious love. Dingy and the drain took some work to get it to plug for a bath.

I used to be willing to pay a premium because there was an amazing buffet breakfast. They also has a wine pairing dinner. Now the dinner requires 4 guests and $1k minimum! And no more buffet. The rooms are average at best, small bathrooms, etc. The value simply isn’t there anymore.

For the price, at firat glance this hotel is historic and really wrll done until you get to the rooms. Our bathroom was so small 2 people could not stand in there together or get ready at the same time. The door was so big and so cloae to the toilet you could not sit straight forward, you had to sit sideways. The rooms are very dark. I understand they are trying to stay with the theme of the hotel but I didnt care for the cave feeling. With the bathroom nd the darkness it was all a little claustrophobic.

This historic hotel is an absolute gem, like stepping back in time. You immediately are greeted with a huge, welcoming lobby right out of the 1920’s. Outside the hotel you will find several fantastic tasting rooms within walking distance and a charming downtown plaza. Really enjoyed our stay!

Booked online, arrived and they had to change our reservation because of the pets, which meant the room may have been downgraded without a change in room charge.

At three times the price, our room in the West Wing was no better than a motel room, complete with noisy air conditioning and tiny bathroom. When booking, there was no notice that we would not be staying in the original building, which presumably has the deluxe- looking rooms advertised.
It was obvious that no one had stayed in our room for a long time (bath gel dispenser in the shower was actually plugged up).
Don't stay here. At least you know what you're getting when you book a motel room.

The hotel is Beautiful and historic. However, we ended up in the annex which is like a very modern Hilton. The room was stark minimalist Was not expecting to stay in a new building. We were disappointed.if you want the grandeur of a historic hotel, don't stay in the annex.
