Dirty , run down place,really discusting .Nicaraguan ladies were nice though. We don’t recommend this hotel.

Front desk person was not available for about 15 mins. A lady waiting in front of us had to call the office at least twice before someone answered. Front desk guy was on his phone while walking slowly back to counter/chair and get in front of computer.

This hotel was disgusting. There were stains on almost every surface of the room and the smoke detector was hanging down out of the ceiling. We left immediately and had to find a different hotel very late at night. Had to eventually call to get our refund as it didn’t automatically go through as the front desk said it would.

Got there to find the overnight staff snoring. I took video it took over an hour almost 2 to wake this man up. Then he yelled at me and told me to leave. Then he came back to the desk and said he would give me a “free” room even though I already paid for the room so that was a joke. The breakfast was a bag with an apple and a yogurt. I have an abscessed tooth and could not eat the apple. The elevator didn’t work that morning for me. It was stuck so the maid took me to the stairs. We didn’t get our room until like 5 am and then were made to check out the same day which I thought was wrong considering what we went through just to get a room to sleep in. I really hope corporate or management reaches out to me so I can send the footage of the man sleeping and then being ridiculous and yelling at me.

Very nice room setup with fridge, coffee maker, desk, easy chair, and lots of electrical outlets. Air conditioning a bit noisy, but temperature stays pretty stable through the night if turned off. Then it was very quiet and restful.

The Parking was very tight and there were people hanging in front on the wall, they were not guests I am sure.

The staff members were friendly and accommodating and that was the best part of our stay at American Inn of Bethesda. The photos and the advertising are not indicative of what we found. There was no breakfast despite the advertising. The staff was apologetic and hoped a grab and go breakfast bag might be available. But nothing was available.
There was no shuttle to the Metro. (Shuttle was available to nearby medical facilities for patients.) The TV got one channel of shows from the 70s. The place looks tired and in need of an uplift, particularly the bathroom.
Again, I want to emphasize the front desk folks were wonderful and kind.

The staff are beyond exceptional, always helpful and friendly and the convenience of shopping and location was very helpful during my stay

No breakfast even though there are signs that they do have, the rooms are dirty, the shower curtain rails were unscrewed.
I did like the front desk lady, she was really nice and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located around a lot of places to eat and shop.

Parking was horrible, clerk gave me keys to occupied room, direct TV had no signal, asked why they said didn’t know should be working, never heard back from them, had to fix toilet seat myself from falling off, room was super tiny and old, musty, it made my top 5 of worst hotels ever and I travel a lot!!

I was in town for a seminar and booked because it was affordable. Proximity to nearby restaurants and my seminar location was great however, my time at the American Inn of Bethesda was disappointing. I attempted to use the “fitness center” but only found a small room with an empty water cooler, 1 popped stability ball, an elliptical, and an adjustable weight bench with a small assortment of mismatched dumbbells. I took my chance with the elliptical and left with very sticky shoes from whatever was on it prior to me using it. Later, i tried to go back to my room to review information from my course work but was met with distracting moans from guests next door. I know thats not the fault of the establishment but the thin walls did not help.

It just wasn’t what I thought it would be. Breakfast is bagged. Wallpaper coming off the wall. Hole in the bathroom where a towel bar was suppose to be because they left it on the floor, had to constantly get my keycard reset, heater didn’t work in the room.
However, you get what you pay for the area felt safe and most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff is very pleasant. All is clean and neat. Breakfast was adequate with fruit, juice, muffin, and yogurt. Requests were addressed quickly. I look forward to staying there again.

Very dated and dirty facility. Smelled musty as soon as I entered the lobby. My room smelled even worse. The condition of my room was notorious. The window blinds didn’t work, the nasty curtains are falling down, and the carpet was filthy and looks like it’s never been replaced. The facility has a very limited number of parking spaces, but none were available and I had to pay for nearby public parking. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is it is located to many restaurants and bars. Although my room was only $104 for the night, I will never stay here again.

Hotel needs an upgrade. Curtains were hanging off the rods. The bed wasn’t terrible, was moderately comfortable. We had to look around to find the TV remote behind the night stand with the alarm clock. Breakfast was “brown bag” yogurt, apple juice, muffin, apple and bottled water. Hallways smelled like weed. Internet pictures are better than reality. Parking was nonexistent. There were maybe 12 parking spaces. Front desk personnel was gracious enough to move her car so we could park. May or may not stay here again. All depends on our travel budget and the amount of time spent at the hotel. This trip it was literally a place to sleep so, in that respect it was sufficient.
