The facility was nice just hard to find. Check-in staff not very friendly but the restaurant and bar were great! Would stay again

The hotel could use a refresh. Bed and pillows weren’t great. However the room was clean, staff was fine, halls were clean, and Liz at packys was wonderful. Overall positive experience

We always stay here if close to Dayton. We are veterans, so it brings back some good memories.

Out of the way. Feel extremely safe. Parking was very good. Staff was friendly and extremely attentive .They went out of their way to be helpful. The Manager made our stay possible despite the possibility of being sold out. Our request for a handicap room was fulfilled. The breakfast at Packy’s Restaurant was absolutely wonderful! Best bacon and REAL scrambled eggs. The items available at the front desk from snacks to soft drinks were plentiful and the prices were most reasonable. The property is not fancy but is clean , quiet and convenient. Housekeeping went out of their way concerning special requests. Definitely met our needs and was economical. A great kept secret in the area. Some minor updates might be good but still an outstanding stay!

Stay was a good last minute choice after a long day of driving. Staff was very friendly and were helpful with providing a roll away bed for the stay. Grounds were nice and the room was clean. I went to the restaurant at one point just for some ketchup packets and forks for the kids and the staff there was super friendly and helpful

Hotel is nice. Staff was pleasant. Beds were super comfortable. A/C worked and blew cold air. Plenty of plug ins for charging phones or plugging in a laptop. Convenience food center is pricey and you have to buy Kuerig K Cups to have a cup of coffee in the lobby. $3 per K cup. Coffee in room is basic but okay in a pinch.

Very quiet , I felt very safe,staff was very friendly, also the food at Packey's the conference center restaurant was excellent, the service was also great, the bartender was very nice and accommodating. If you want anice quiet getaway this is the place!

Hotel was good value and good location, would stay here again. Restaurant food was bland at best, restaurant is understaffed, restaurant service is inconsistent.

I was very happy with the Hope Hotel. I think the building itself is older (1970s?) but is in excellent condition. The common areas and my room were sparklingly clean (there wasn't even any dirt in the far corners of the bathroom floor, a sign that unlike many hotels the staff here really works on cleanliness). The walls, carpet, and elevators were clean and unmarred (a sign that the staff has gone out of their way to fix scrapes, spots, and stains). The staff (front desk and restaurant) was friendly and helpful. A downside is that there's no included breakfast (which I knew in advance), but the hotel restaurant breakfast buffet was quite reasonably priced (about $10). The location (just outside the main gate) is especially convenient for people with business on the air base.

It was like a prison compound service non communication robots

It was a nice simple hotel room to get some sleep. I as disappointed since there was not a coffee pot in the room nor was there any complimentary coffee or filtered water in the lobby. There are vending machines but no contentinetal breakfast either…. Clean, quiet, no frills or food.

Quiet place!!

The breakfast was not good at all -- so I wouldn't eat in their restaurant. That whole area is a "food desert" unfortunately. No good restaurants in the area. The hotel was OK, but showing some wear and tear. Should get an updating. Also, the windows are fixed; can't get any fresh air.

It was a nice, clean, quiet room. I had no problems.

45 minutes for check-in!! Need more help.

I like this hotel. It's older and has some charm to it. The staff is top notch across the board. The rooms, however, need some attention. The carpets are worn and have dirty spots on them. The mattresses are low end (the bedding and pillows are quite nice, though!). The workout facility is adequate. The conference facility is fantastic. The property is adjacent to Wright-Patterson AFB and can be difficult to get to if you are not paying close attention. Because of its location, there are no businesses or restaurants within walking distance. There are some great places to shop and eat within a 10–15-minute drive. The on-site restaurants, Packy's, is okay. Food is what you would expect at a hotel restaurant, but not exceptional. The wait staff is fantastic, friendly, and experienced, although we found Packy's to be under-staffed while we were there. Overall, not a bad place to stay. It has some serious Bob Hope history, charm, and great staff. It needs updated, needs better on-site amenities, and is a bit of a drive to shopping and dining. I would give 3.5 if that was an option, but it is not a four star.
