We visited Brooklyn for a family wedding with no knowledge of the area. The Henry Norman Hotel turned out to be a serendipitous choice. It is a beautiful boutique hotel with large, clean and comfortable rooms. All amenities were provided. The size of the bathrooms in an NYC hotel was remarkable. The staff went above and beyond to assist us in every request. Martin, at the front desk was especially helpful. Thank you! Excellent restaurants, bakeries and shops of all kinds within walking distance. Easy 20 minute ride into Manhattan. If you need/want to be in the Greenpoint area, you will not be disappointed by the HNH.

This place is very comfortable and quite quirky. There is no parking, but it's in a neighborhood where street parking is easy and they send out a staff member to find you a spot, then wait in it while you get your car! Above and beyond.
The street is light industry, residential the next block. The room is huge by any standard and the price is extremely reasonable.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Staff was exceptionally accommodating. Hotel was beautiful, comfortable, deco, eco, AND had TWO terraces overlooking NYC. Quiet safe neighborhood. This hotel is EVERYTHING!!

Room was a bit dark (limited natural light) and one morning heard clicking that sounded like a person walking on heels above us that lasted a long time (poor soundproofing?) but overall very good experience. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I have stayed here a few times and so has my husband when we travel to NYC. It is clean and the staff have been great. There are very few dining facilities nearby, and I would be afraid to walk around there in the evening. The breakfast, at $10.00 per person, had stale baked goods on the one day that I ate there, on 8/13. There are no hot things to eat unless you eat oatmeal. I only ate there once the week I was there.

For the price and what we got was nice. For the location, the decor in the room, it did not feel like a hotel. Felt like an Airbnb which was a good feeling. Staying on the weekend, the parking wasn’t too bad but if you stay during the week, that’s where you might have issues. Overall I would recommend this place.

Adorable hotel that feels like a home. The staff are super friendly, the building is beautiful, never had an issue with any noise and the neighborhood is walkable and very close to a very pretty park and some food options. High ceilings, cute aesthetic, nice bathroom, comfy beds, great view of the city from our room.

The hotel is located in an industrial area with trucks working all hours of the night, making a lot of noise. Additionally, you can hear all the noise made by other guests from the floors above and the surrounding rooms.

Interesting boutique hotel with very cool decor. The suite room was very comfortable and roomy, with lots of nice little details. The hotel is on the edge of an industrial neighborhood, which was a little concerning at first, but it's also just outside some very quaint residential ones (with a park) as well. No parking available, but the street doesn't seem to have may people parking there at night. Had a space about a block from the hotel.

The hotel is very nice. Comfortable beds, beautiful vibe. Its location is very convenient for us because it’s near where my son lives, but be advised that it’s on the edge of a residential neighborhood in a more industrial area. It feels safe, but it’s just not very scenic.

Hotel is covenient to the area for family being visited. It is a bit pricy for queen bed accomodations in relatively small rooms. Parking in the area is inconvenient, and yet there is nothing around the hotel to see and do.

The room was amazing. We didn’t need to leave. We never really checked out the rest of the hotel but it looked so open and fresh. High ceilings separate sitting area and nice bathroom. Hardwood floors felt so nice. Staff was super nice and helpful. You do have to walk a bit to get to any restaurants.

I will not stay here again. I asked for a quiet room, because I was working until 3am. I was put on the lower level. I was awakened at 5am by noisy traffic above my head. Staff was out early watering flowers and talking above my head. I left at 8am instead of 11 because of all the noise.
The room was expensive. I complained at the front desk. They said it was the only room available which was a lie because there were other rooms when I booked it on Expedia. The ftt try not door was locked when I got there and it took a while for someone to open the door. It also took forever to check in. I will not stay here again.

The customer service was good and the rooms are large; however, they need to put down more rugs in rooms that have other rooms below them. I slept HORRIBLY because the people above me came home late stomping around and then were up at 6 am stomping around, and this continued for two hours. I’m exhausted from two nights here, and the inability to sleep made my my work trip extra challenging.
