just no communication with the host, no answer to my call

We were pleased with our stay. The layout was a bit tight but was fine. The bed was very comfortable and the full kitchen was useful. We loved the back patio area, very relaxing. The parking was also convenient.

Grounds were well kept and it was nice to have access to a washer n dryer on vacay

Good location, quiet tiny house. Only issue were bugs around the property and a mattress with no central support. Good stay overall.

Really nice to have a studio apartment while traveling for weeks. Cute, fun funky throwback. Excellent communication and cold a/c. Street is noisy in day, fine at night. Owner put in double pane too.

Overall the Cottages was great. Internet was not good. Has hard to communicate with family and friends. Or browse anywhere else for that matter. I suggest for visitors, giving them option to get faster internet with a fee. Other than internet issues i would stay everytime i visit the area. Ms Mercedes, thanks for so kind and helpful

This was a very nice place with easy check-in and parking. Bed was comfortable and the place was very clean. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

Excellent stay! Room was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with utensils and cookware you need, and the area is safe. I really loved my stay there. Communication was great! Great instructions on exactly how to get to property and what to expect. Property is gated in too which is great! Parking available.

Great stay no complaints

Super clean, spacious, Kitchen had all the necessary meal creating items. Bed super soft. If you need a firm mattress,maybe request it. Mike was responsive, accomodating and extra pleasant to speak with. A gorgeous location in miami. Will definetly go back!

Everything was fine except for the sagging mattress which affected immensely my quality of sleep, being tired every morning after a restless night.

The cottages were nice and secure … the courtyard was so very pretty. Loved that you had a back door right to the courtyard. Also loved that there were laundry facilities available

The location was great, plenty of parking space, cute little room with plenty of space. I was only there for one night but overall i enjoyed my stay.

My husband & I arrived at the cottage around 9pm in the evening, and everything was quiet and it was surprisingly easy to find! The area is nice so I felt comfortable. The cottages are cute and the kitchen was an added bonus. Downsides were fruit flies everywhere, and there was some sort of bug shell on the bed sheets, so I was uneasy all night and unable to fully get comfortable in bed. Made me worry about the cleanliness, although everything else appeared clean. The owner communicates well and sends correspondence about how to access the cottage, etc. which was appreciated. However, he didn’t apologize or seem to care too much about the concerns I had. So that was disappointing. Not sure if I’d stay here again.

I like that each room felt private. Overall a pleasant stay; a I'd like to suggest placing sheer curtains over the big window because in order to have privacy I had to use the shade which made the room dark.

The location could use some more electrical receptacles for working with laptops. Otherwise, WIFI was great. The air conditioner could use an update, it barely kept up with the temperature in the unit that I was in. Superior experience for the price. Will definitely return.

Good and comfortable stay

My stay at Cottages El Portal was amazing. It definitely exceeded my expectations. This place is a hidden gem in Miami. Mike was amazing with communication, check-in was a breeze and the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. I will definitely be staying again in the future.
