A 15 euro charge for bike storage which was not mentioned when booking is really annoying. In a nosy area with broken facilities.

The location

The room was incredibly stuffy with very little ventilation. It was almost as though the bathroom was in the bedroom as it was simply in the corner, sectioned off by frosted glass walls and a sliding door. The bathroom also had very poor ventilation/none. There was no fan. Given the numerous trips to and from the beach, a terrible odour ensued in the heat and it was almost untenable. It was incredibly hot in the room and there was little that could be done for reprieve. We spent 95% of our time in Santander avoiding the accommodation. Upon departure the staff were unfriendly.

Small room. Badly designed shower door, with the pivot in the centre of it. Fortunately I'm slim so was able to squeeze in and out of the shower. The fan on top speed did not keep room cool, ( outside was 22-25 C max ). Worst of all though was the customer service. The lady at reception : at 8am I asked her to order a taxi for the airport for 9am. It hadn't arrived by 09.15. She was very poor at keeping me informed about what was going on. She phoned the taxi company but didn't tell me the result, and she disappeared for 10 minutes without providing any info. That was very stressful and entirely avoidable if she'd just told me what was going on. Very poor customer service. She seemed like she'd entirely lost interest. In the end I went to stand out in the street myself in desperation to see if I can flag down a taxi myself , as by then I was seriously concerned that I would miss my flight.
