The hotel was very old and dingy a d i noticed a lot of unsavory elements there. People were allowed to park in designated handicap areas when they had no placards abd property did nothing about it. The only positive things i can say is that its in a nice town, its near the airport and Minneapolis and it is clean like really clean despite being old and run down.

It was convenient. The staff was accommodating. My RV burnt down and I didn't have a driver's license to show but I had an image they were willing to take. And I didn't need a deposit as long as I took a smoking room. So I was happy with how they worked with me to make it happen.

The hotel needs upgrades checked in and there where a lot of men sitting in the back area drinking ppl in the hall talking on their phones. Breakfast wasn't no breakfast if you call packaged honeybun and chocolate donuts for breakfast not a breakfast at all. I wasn't happy at this hotel and never will go back.

Check in went fine with no problems. Pictures provided on the site are not up to date and the place feels fairly run down. Lights needed changing/flickered randomly, most electrical sockets didn’t work, hole in bathroom door and potentially dried blood on bathroom door as well. There was some sort of party happening outside in the parking lot until around 4am. Judging from other reviews this is a regular occurrence. Tweakers were walking around the front of the property the entirety of our time there. We were relieved when we went out to the car and saw that no damage had occurred to it while we tried to sleep.

Air conditioner was super loud. The room needs a good repair and cleaning. Bad smell in around the bathroom. Price was reasonable.

There was some promising upgrades, but some glaring areas in our small room. The bathroom door has seen beter days. The egde around the door was water damaged and a small hole through the center. The wall opposite of the sink was damaged. No chair at the desk. Now upside: it was clean looking, had a small refrigerator with freezer, and a decent matress. The sheets were 80 grit and the pillows were small, but suitable.

This was our goto hotel when going to the region since 1989 till covid. We love the renovations completed since. Did not upgrade the breakfast but many choices near by. Great bed, clean rooms and friendly staff

Staff was always nice and accommodating. Close to the Mall of America, very convenient! Hotel was clean, room was nice and clean.

Breakfast just ok.

It was a clean good place to lay your head and was comfortable. If you need a reasonable priced place to stay while in Minneapolis. The area is not great looking but seems to higher end than some of these bigger cities I have stayed. Shower is great with good hot water. It meet all my needs.

Was very nice and relaxed stay. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was lacking. Prepackaged mini donuts basically.

Quiet and relaxing

There’s no elevator and because we’ve on a trip driving, we have a lot of stuff that need to carry al the way up.

The staff were very polite they were helpful with anything we asked. It seems like it’s more of a place you can really get away with throwing a party

Adequate stay - clean enough, not bad. Saved a buck or two.

Great location close to every place we went to. Quiet. The Breakfast was not what we were expecting. No options to choose from. Coffee. Hot chocolate and hostess muffin.

When we first got there, check in was quick and easy. We got sorted but there was no maps or directions to the room. Parked and I left my friend in my truck as the parking lot looked a bit sketchy. There were people hanging around the side and drinking. Great, enjoy your weekend but I was just wanting to find my room, luckily it was straight in from the door. So room, great location. The men outside the door actually was nice, I am not sure if they were staying there or employees but they opened the door for me and my friend and that was pretty darn sweet! There was no information as how to call the front desk from our room phone. There was no explanation as the the free wifi (which we figured out on our own later). Everything worked out well. I hope to visit with the Prime Rate Inn again in the future. The pricing was great for the amount of time spent there. Maybe instead of a "free donut," maybe a continental breakfast. Maybe in the future!
