Beautiful, Modern Cottage, A Stone's Throw Away From The Water's Edge
Milverton est un fabuleux chalet, récemment agrandi et entièrement rénové à un niveau exceptionnel en 2012. Le cadre du chalet est incomparable, merveilleusement positionné, à quelques pas du détroit de Menai. Le chalet est situé dans un quartier calme et paisible, avec des restaurants, des pubs, des sentiers pédestres et des pistes cyclables pittoresques et une gamme de sports nautiques à proximité.
Milverton est un chalet confortable, entièrement équipé et relaxant avec une vue fantastique. Le logement de quatre chambres comprend 2 chambres doubles, toutes deux avec une vue imprenable sur le détroit, deux chambres simples et un canapé-lit double dans le salon. Il comprend également 2 salles de bains, avec 2 douches et 1 baignoire, une cuisine, un salon et une salle à manger.
Le salon a de grandes portes françaises s'ouvrant sur le jardin, vous permettant de profiter de la vue magnifique de l'intérieur et de l'extérieur. Il y a aussi un feu à effet gaz charbon pour vous garder au chaud le soir.
Le chalet lumineux et ensoleillé fait face au sud-est et est situé dans son propre jardin. Le jardin a sa propre paroi en verre pour assurer une vue optimale et comprend un coin repas, vous permettant de prendre un repas ou de prendre quelques verres devant la vue fantastique.

The owner made everything very easy and we had the most enjoyable stay. We did lots of walks, fishing and it was the perfect location to attend our daughter’s graduation at Bangor University. We had everything we needed in the house. Thank you.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Anne is an amazing host and communication was a breeze. What a beautiful cottage Milverton is and Northern Wales is second to none. I highly recommend a trip to Anglesey and a stay at Milverton. It was a joy to come back there after a day of exploring.

House, host & location all absolutely amazing. Spent blissful hours just watching what was going on on the strait.
Excellent location, quiet but only a few minutes walk into town centre with all essentials nearby, good pubs & restaurants and Waitrose a stones throw away once you work out the shortcut 😊
A great base for exploring the island and handy for Bangor station.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! Updated, clean, and just a great property on a special location. Upon first arriving we just loved what we saw and grew to appreciate it more the longer we stayed. We wished we would have planned to stay here longer. Walking distance to Waitrose (grocery) and restaurants in Menai bridge. Fantastic place to walk along the water or just sit on the patio and watch the swirling waters of the Menai straight. We had several fantastic hikes in the Eryri National park all less than a 30 minutes drive. More Castles and beaches than you will find energy to visit nearby.

Firstly Anne is the best host ever, all information is accuate and anything you think you need to know and even what you dont need to know she sends by email. very organised and attentive host!
The house is perfect for 6
No parking except round the corner, with your own spot that is great, just DO NOT try driving down past the house! Its a dead end and extremely narrow to reverse back. go up the one way street where it shows. made the mistake only once when we arrived.

Smart, modern but still homely. The house fitted beautifully into the eclectic mix that is Menai Bridge. Watching the everchanging tide from the balcony or lounge is just mesmerising. My husband said " its the best view we've ever had on any holiday. Beds comfortable, house warm, full of equipment. Anne and Gerald so helpful with instructions and answered questions. You can have peace here and nature or find shops and restaurants, Perfect stay and memories made for us all. Thank you.

We were meeting up
with London friends who have a place in Bangor..They had other friends stay at Milverton last year...loved it..
So...we were the beneficiaries of their experience and recommendation...We found the cottage clean and comfortable ... The water side view is nothing short of spectacular and the cottage is within walking distance of the village and market...The lodging was great for my wife and I. I think it would feel pretty tight for six or even four adults.

The best thing about Milverton is the ever changing view of the Menai Bridge which can be seen from all rooms except the two single bedrooms. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped with appliances, crockery and utensils. The property has a very cosy feel and is a perfect place to relax after a day of adventure or hiking, or if the weather is inclement. Or just sitting outside enjoying the view with your morning coffee.
We are a family of four with children aged 10 and 13 and the property was perfect for us. There is a Waitrose supermarket a convenient 5 mins walk away and a great restaurant, Dylan’s, also a short walk.
The street outside is very narrow but you can park there for unloading or longer if there is space, else it’s 2 mins walk to the reserved spaces. Due to the parking and steps down to the property we wouldn’t recommend for a family with pushchairs or wheelchair users but it was no problem for us.
We had a really great week in Wales at Milverton and would definitely stay again.

This is a delightful property with incredible views of the bridge and straits, within walking distance of some nice restaurants and pubs. The property was exactly as described, spotless and felt really homely. The communication with Anne was first class and everything was described in great detail. We even had the opportunity to check in early, which was great as we did arrive a little earlier than expected.

Being right on the Menai Strait was lovely - as was the walking path right in front of the home. It was delightful to watch the water move with the tides! It was peaceful and relaxing. The location was wonderful as well for exploring the town.
The home is a bit smaller than it appeared to me in the photos. Wonderful for two, a little cozy for four to gather in the living space - though plenty of room at the dining table. Six guests would be pushing it but not if you spent the majority of your time outside and exploring. (It might be a good idea to replace the smaller mattresses.)
The island itself is beautiful with many wonderful places to explore - especially for me being quite interested in history.
Anne was a wonderful host and very easy to work with and communicate with.

Zip Wire Weekend - May 2022
This is a lovely well equipped cottage which met all expectations. The views of the Bridge and Straits were a joy and the location being in walkable distance of many good restaurants was the icing on the cake.
Originally booked so that we were close to Zip World, the weekend became so much more - we also did the Rib Ride to Puffin Island.
We went with our son and his partner and all have said we will be going back.

Even better than the photos!
Starting with the first contact, Anne was very responsive to queries and provided everything we needed to know we made the right choice even before arriving. From directions to clear instructions on everything we would have use of in the property, we felt well prepared and were not disappointed. We found the property easily and were able to unload before parking in the dedicated space. The property itself was immaculate with recent upgrades to the kitchen and bathrooms. The view was fantastic and visible from the lounge, dining room and bedrooms. You really can't goo wrong with this booking. A peruse of the guest book tells me that everyone else feels the same. Well done Anne. In the area are lovely walks, quite a few pubs and a lovely seafood restaurant (Dylan's). The Rib Ride is well worth a go. Trigger, the captain was born and bred Anglesey and there wasn't much about the area he didn't know. There is a lot to Anglesey and I will be back.

Lovely accommodation and wonderful location
The house was beautifully presented and had all the facilities we could need. The lounge is a bit small for four adults and two teenagers and if we had eight people staying it would have been difficult.
We had a wonderful stay and the communication with the owners was very good. A number of reminder emails through out the week to direct us with our stay.
We absolutely loved the area, for access to Snowdonia and we loved Menai Bridge. It was so calming to look out over the river every morning.
All in all we have a fantastic holiday which was well worth the wait of two years! Thanks so much Anne

Amazing 30th birthday celebration.
A beautiful place with an amazing view that never got old. Watching the sunrise on the balcony was lovely. All the local artwork was lovely to see too. We all loved it!!!! A weekend we won't forget!!

Fabulous Stay
We were four friends visiting Snowdonia and opted for this property simply for the amazing views from the photos. And we were not disappointed - such fabulous views of Menai Bridge and Menai Straits!
It’s a super property, well equipped kitchen and great to have a separate dining room which we thoroughly enjoyed.
All the bedrooms were very comfortable, and plenty of hot water in both bathrooms.
Anne was very responsive to every query we had. While we were there we needed some help with the heating as we had been caught in very heavy rain and were soaked through and cold. Both Anne and Gerald responded within minutes. Additionally, one of the group left something behind on departure. Anne and Gerald retrieved it for us and returned it to us.
We had a fantastic stay.
Be sure to take a walk from the property to Church Island - magical - it’s not far.
We took advantage of driving around Anglesey.
Wished we had longer. We will return!

This was an amazing property right on the estuary and close by to the high street with the restaurant and a few shops. The cottage has everything you needed and was very clean. Anne was also very helpful when I emailed her

Amazing location with fabulous view out over the Menai Strait. So much to do in the local area including the fabulous beaches on Anglesey and the mountains of Snowdonia. 70th celebrations in style
We stayed to celebrate a 70th Birthday with 3 generations and everyone loved it! The view is spectacular, the outdoor space is larger than you might expect and we made the most of it despite some rainy times. We even saw a seal from the terrace!
The house is very well kept & decor lovely, it has every utensil & crockery you could think of & lots of instructions to help.
Anne is a fabulous host, gave us lots of information & checked to see we were ok, such a lovely lady wanting us to enjoy our time there. We felt safe with the additional covid precautions too.
Menai Bridge has good restaurants and take away options. Hydeout burger was fantastic!
Only extra I would recommend is maybe something to shelter on the patio when it’s a bit rainy so you can still be outside, perhaps a wind out, but don’t get me wrong the views from inside are still amazing!

Revitalising break in lovely house
I loved staying here I really didn’t want to come home.
The house is very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, it has lots of crockery and cutlery, which is always useful when there are 5 of us, plenty of pans etc to cook with.
