The property was felt very clean and fresh, it was very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. A great position with shops and restaurants close by.

The only issue was the mattress in the main bedroom needs replacing. Springs can be felt on one side very uncomfortable.

Perfect size for family of 4. Love the location. You are in walking distance to grocery stores, train station, and down town.

I liked everything about the property. I have no complaints.

Bright and airy. Close to town. Good TV, nice big fridge and washing machine was very handy including washing liquid and fabric conditioner. Very flexible and allowed us an early check in. Easy to communicate with.

Not very clean. Had to clean the whole kitchen including cutlery, pans etc before using. Also had to clean the bathroom and mop floors everywhere which were very dirty. Windows were also very dirty. Beds were also not terribly comfortable and very little storage in the bedrooms and no safe as advertised. I was looking forward to having a garden but it was very uninviting. Cleanliness was the biggest issue.

The property is perfectly located to explore Rutland and also walk into Oakham town centre to enjoy the many places of interest, restaurants, pubs and bars which are available there. The house is on a quiet back road, but only 2 minutes walk from a Co-op Local. Parking is on the road, but we had no problems with this (actually a number of the locals took the opportunity this gave to say hello and give us advice on the best places to visit). The house was spotless inside, and had everything we needed for a really comfy stay. Our dog loved the doggie door upstairs!! What really made the stay special though was the communication with Jonny the host, who could not have been more accommodating or considerate. Thank you! We would totally recommend a stay at the Kings Retreat, as a couple or a family.
