The setting is stunning
The room was far too hot and an antiquated aircon unit was all that was available. It didn't actually cool the room so we were too hot day and night.
For the price, we would have expected at least a buffet breakfast but there was nothing, we had to go to the restaurant and buy something each morning.
Also, at 3.50am the fire alarm went off. All guests got out and stood waiting for a staff member/fire warden to arrive. That took another 15 mins. Obviously no fire drills are run because the response was dangerously inadequate.
We had our dog with us and had to pay a daily rate. A general comment that hotels who charge for the pet are simply profiteering from it. We brought the dog's bed, his food, water, bowls, everything and he makes zero mess. I would hope that hotels etc would stop doing this.

Reception staff were good although told me that I had booked 2 rooms and this was not the case . Wou;d be a good idea if they gave you times of restaurant opening hours when you booked in . Room as a decent size . Restaurant had lovely views .
The room was so hot visited in June . there was a free standing air conditioning unit in the room although this was not efficient partly because of all the dust/ fluff on the filters . I managed to clean a lot of fluff out but this is something that should be done in the winter months prior to opening not by a guest ! The waiter in the restaurant was lovely but the female did not speak nicely to the guests . I got told off for not waiting at the podium and yet there was no one else in the restaurant . Breakfast of Scrambled eggs was ok but requested with mushrooms and there was one 1 mushroom and my plate was filled up with 6 half slices of toast . She told a group of elderly people they were too late for dinner by 2 mins ! and then told them off for sitting in the wrong area . She needs some training for sure ! On my last day breakfast had about 10 tables and they could not cope.

room was great, comfy and clean.
there were coffee pods but no machine to put them in?
We didn't have breakfast, but had an evening meal.
service was prompt and friendly in the restaurant, but the food mediocre to be honest which is reflected in the overall score
food quality
coffee machine in room

The hotel is well built and has good views.
A terrible experience. We're told you did not need to book restaurant in the evening and recommended by staff to eat at 8pm when would be quieter. However when we went to eat was told there were no tables left and bookings had been taken. No manager on dire to resolve bisque. No reception staff. Waited 20 minutes at the bar for a drink..not enough staff. Tables in bar not cleared...our glasses from 7pm still there at 10pm. Left message for manage to contact me to discuss...no contact. This is a family dominated hotel....not made clear in hotel description and reviews.

The scenery was beautiful.
Our room was not cleaned, not tided, beds not maid, not replenished, bins not emptied, no clean towels on our 4 day stay at hotel. There was no coffee during our stay in the whole hotel. There was lots of things not in stock at bars. Waiting for drinks in the restaurant was terrible, had to ask for toilet paper 3 times and never got it. Had to take it from a maids cart. The public toilets in the hotel were thilthy. Our room looked out to septic tanks and a loading bay, with rubbish lying around. Steel barrels being banged about in loading area outside our room in the early hours which was a nightmare. Overall stay was terrible. There is obviously serious staffing issues, such and expensive short stay for an awful experience.

The whole experience was very good. Had food in the restaurant on the evening which was also excellent.
The views were spectacular.
All the staff were super friendly and helpful.
It would be lovely to have a spa centre rather than the jacuzzi being in the main pool. Somewhere to relax.

The rooms are lovely. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was good.
The only issue we had, which would make me seriously think about not using booking.com again, was that when we booked it said that breakfast was available and that we could pay at the property for a price of £9.95. We assumed that meant for £9.95 per head we would be able to have whatever we wanted for breakfast (the same as if it had been included in the price). When we arrived for breakfast we explained that that was what our booking had said and the waiter said we could have anything we wanted. However, it later turned out we were supposed to pay full price. This is very misleading on the behalf of Booking.com and disappointing that despite enquiring before we ordered that we were then misled/misinformed by a member of Drimsynie staff. He did take 25% off, however that was still more than we were expecting to pay.

Location, cleanliness, service all excellent
Reception definitely understaffed and under pressure to deal with busy check in times.

Plenty room inside love the venue , views were stunning.
Wasn’t very keen on the breakfast set up , we where having cereal and fry so expected to get cereal first but they brought them both together,
They also put toast on same plate as fry , I did expect a side plate for it .
Good choice but is was not very warm .
Had Sunday roast it to was just warm .
Staff were very friendly.

Beautiful spot, well equipped room
Clean
Staff unsure of allergy menu, although requested gluten free due to coeliac still came out with a normal breakfast which needed changing. Was done straight away but do need to double check everything

Stunning location, beautiful hotel. Nice room. I would go back, but I would take my own food with me next time.
Check in was late by 40 minutes because of some "problem " in the room.
The restaurant is a disaster. Even with a booking it took 20 minutes just to get seated. Another 20 just to get a drink. The food was over priced and not that good. Staff seemed to be trying their best, but something, somewhere is terribly wrong.

Amazing views
Disappointing “quiz” not what I expected. More adult secluded areas needed away from family entertainment would be good.

brilliant views, spacious room, brilliant staff and great food. lots to do aswell
the mattress were pretty hard. I don’t know if these are new mattress and it did feel like the hotel had just been done up

Very good rooms. Great location. Entertainment good.
Some buffet items ran out but were not replenished. Swimming pool operation by sessions went out of fashion in 1970s.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, room was spacious with a great view, powerful shower.....breakfast and evening meals were great in the View restaurant.
Booked this hotel because of the facilities so it was disappointing that both the sauna and jacuzzi were not working, thats why we paid more than other hotels were asking for B&B.
The worst thing however was the bed 🛌, as others have reviewed it was the hardest most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on.....I honestly think 2 nights is the maximum I could stay which is a shame as the rest of the stay was very good.

Wonderful location views and staff
Went for sauna and hot tub as partner had hurt his back and neither were in use

View
Swimming pool was not available, very understaffed (restaurant service was very slow) and the room temperature was too warm even without heating.

food wasn’t great and bed was uncomfortable

Staff were friendly and the hotel clean
The shower. Couldn’t really enjoy 1 as the water constantly went cold and hot. Hot 1 min then soo cold having to step away from the water.
Really needs some money spent on modernising/ fixing the facilities of the room.

The location was amazing room fantastic the spa was brilliant and the staff food and facilities were great the breakfast was top notch as well would definitely stay again
Only thing I could think of was although comfortable and spotless the bed was a tad hard

Facilities and bar
Bed rock hard, radiators not able to turn off and rooms like a sauna

Good service, Excellent scenery, lovely meals.
Sauna and jacuzzi not working
4.1
The room was lovely, the food was good and the staff were friendly. Really lovely, chilled atmosphere. The hotel itself is lovely and we definitely would come back.
It was quiet due to the time of year we went. There was plenty there but felt more could be done with the facilities and amount of staff. Ie. More entertainment for the kids in the evening.
4.1
Cleanliness and hotel environment was positive and professional. Amazing views. Catering was excellent
Noise from treadmill in gym near to my room was an unwanted distraction.
Sauna is currently out of use long term and no mention of this at time of booking/website
Also cleanliness of swimming pool change room and toilet areas were poor compared to high standards elsewhere in the facility.

nice views from dining room nice reception
poor service at breakfast no juices fresh fruit warm had been on display for a while no defac coffee when asked for but eventually found 15 mins later and very weak cooked breafast luke warm potato scone hard over cooked tables not cleared
no guidance about where coffee tea fresh fruit were located had to find for ourselves had to wait around 45 minutes before we started eating our meals

we like everything except the settings of the breakfast! the teapots and coffees and the sweeteners run out, and they dont refill the pots for the coffee straightaway, we had to keep an eye to them and waited for 15mins before they topped it up, toasts were solid and cold! would be nice if you have a coffee/tea machine and also toaster in the dining area so guests would just help themselves! i would say, the breakfast is poor…cups are also very small, we only drank oyr coffee like in one gulp…im sorry ❤️ but the rest is perfect!
just the breakfast set up

so quiet, so clean, amazing aspect and location, warm and very peaceful. good food available after work.
tv in my room was unplugged from signal and power and
manager tried very hard to help but still didnt work even with power light on.Also difficult (though understand why) that reception support had to be accessed through finding someone via restaurant after 6 and I had to leave at 7.30am before anyone there in the morning so couldnt report the issue in the morning as advised to. left me key behind counter in reception.
