The room was excellent, great staff (the restaurant waiter in the evening especially so), awesome restaurant and food, stunning building and location. I think the surrounding area would be very nice in warmer times of the year but in mid-winter it was dark and cold so I didn't stay to enjoy it. The bed was comfortable and I slept well, very important on a business trip with an important meeting the next day.

The car park is some distance away. It was bitterly cold during my stay and the area close to the hotel was very icy so dragging a bag from the car was a bit of a chore.

A great hotel who kindly changed our booking after our Inbound flight was cancelled the day before arrival. So we'll done to that reception gentleman! The restaurant manager was also excellent too and made us feel very welcome, but was always busy making the area spic & span, well done! Restaurant was a nice atmosphere too. Try the lentil soup it was fantastic. We would stay again and keep up the good work!

I found the pillows far too soft and not supportive, so slept badly but typically this is the German style. I wonder if guests could be offered an alternative firmer type, perhaps? Sadly, I felt the plastic screens in reception were unnecessary and actually a barrier to normal friendly communication and seemed to isolate reception staff to be honest. The above aren't deal breakers, but I mention them because I would like the hotel to be successful as we enjoyed our stay, so I trust this feedback is helpful. Thanks

Despite being close to the city of Chemnitz the location of the hotel acts as a gateway to the open countryside, pleasant walks, golf, horse riding… Our standard double room was adequate for two nights, the bathroom was well designed for travellers, the breakfast was very good with nice individual touches and a varied choice, the food in the restaurants was also very tasty. Parking is amply available and free. All staff we encountered were helpful, friendly and interested in customer satisfaction.

We were fortunate to have a discount on our booking, for some the normal price would be a little on the expensive side…

Everything except the Baramundi in the restaurant in the evening. The rooms are in fact newly arranged in the surrounding buidings of the castle. The area is very nice (castle, park,...)

Location is perfect - a real old castle. Parking 100m away from reception, but looks safe. Nice reception. Good bed and linen quality. Perfect shower and shampoo. No sounds around)) And perfect breakfast bread.

Hands down, this place is awesome. Booked last minute at a great price which included breakfast. Check in was quick and staff were super friendly. Parking was plentiful. Our room was on the second floor and coming from the parking lot, we got turned around a bit and the restaurant staff found us wondering around and were able to show us the right direction to get upstairs. Room was quite large. Heating worked well. Bed was very comfortable with soft linens and great pillows. Bathroom was a nice size. Shower was large with a door--great water pressure and always hot water. We had dinner in the restaurant and while we didn't have reservations, we were shown a table and had a delicious dinner. Everyone was attentive. Checkout was easy and quick. Would DEFINITELY stay here again!!

Romantic castle, nice castle garden, vwry clean, helpful staff, tasty breakfast buffet.

It was our third visit in Schlosshotel Klaffenbach. Two restaurants, cafeteria, nice breakfast, big rooms, comfortable bathroom and quiet neighborhood. It's a good stop to rest. One day I will visit the castle.
