The location was perfect! The cottage was sooo cute and just right for our stay. It was close to the restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. If we were there in summer it was close to the beach to swim.

Great location for the harbour path
The smell of damp hit you in the face as soon as you penes the front door
Black mould on the walls in the kitchen and on the stairway .
Not really what you would expect and most definitely not suitable for my children who both suffer from asthma which was made a lot worse from 3 nights in this property

Location was fantastic, in ‘The Warren’ right in the heart of Polperro, a short 2 minute stroll from the pubs. The manager (owner) provided all the parking and lockbox info prior to arrival. Free parking for one car included in the village car park, about 10 mins walk from the property. Nice hot shower, heaters in every room, fans available for warm nights, very well-equipped and clean kitchen, combined washing machine/tumble dryer.
Beautifully quirky and wonderfully ‘Cornish’ but very small, cramped, highly impractical and, unfortunately, quite damp down in the basement kitchen. It smelt very musty and pretty unpleasant down there. White paint was flaking from the low ceiling onto the floor and we even had it in our hair. Everything was tiny - the staircases, the shower (none of us could stand upright under the nozzle!), the one bathroom, and, in particular, the double bedroom opposite the front door. The style and size of the home can be explained and even embraced (if you’re a hobbit!) because it’s an authentic, historic building; however, the filthy carpet is pretty inexcusable, as are the floppy, grubby, wafer-thin cushions in the otherwise delightfully wonky lounge room up on the top floor - our favourite room by far, as it appeared to want to propel you out of it’s large sash window by way of the bowed and sloping floorboards funnelling you directly towards a third storey drop. It’d be pretty interesting to be drunk up there. Or a toddler. You definitely need a sense of wonder and a sense of humour to stay here, and we accepted our situation with a lot of laughs. The first few hours after you arrive are particularly fabulous because it’s so cute and quirky, and you can barely believe what you’re seeing. However, the novelty soon wears off as you repeatedly bang your head, get into human traffic jams with other household members trying to move from one room to another, shuffle sideways around furniture like crabs, and navigate three flights of steep narrow stairs to get from the lounge room at the very top of the house down to the dank basement kitchen. And beware! You can hear everything from every room, kind of like camping. Bare floorboards in the room above are your bedroom ceiling, complete with significant gaps and creaks. Consequently, voices, movement and lights reverberate and shine through from above and below.

The cottage was absolutely wonderful, cosy & quirky. Set over 4 floors, we had lots of room and space and the cottage had everything we needed. It was really lovely and warm and super comfortable. Loved the Cornish rustic decor, slightly slanted floors and the lounge & kitchen were absolutely gorgeous. Loved the extra little touches, such as the throws and blankets in the lounge to snuggle in. Loved that the owners have bought lots of gorgeous little home accessories from the local, unique gift shops, supporting local businesses. Despite being a bigger property than we actually needed, we found it so cosy. Water was nice and hot and lots of little places to store things. The property manager was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We found the locals really friendly and the property is in an excellent location on the Warren at the foot of the coastal path and a short minutes walk to a tea room, museum and the harbour, shops, pubs. The best view is from the lounge and whilst slightly obstructed by a building, it was still lovely to catch glimpses of the sea. Absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again. Top tip - if settling in for the evening in the cottage, bring everything up from the kitchen (drinks, snacks etc) to save trips downstairs, as the kitchen is on the bottom floor & the lounge on the top floor. There's even a little tray in the kitchen to help with this! & after lots of walking and exploring, we enjoyed snuggling up with the TV & log burner later in the evenings. The kitchen was really awesome and so well equipped. Watch out for the low ceilings particularly in the bedroom above the kitchen. My husband is 6ft 2 & did bump his head a few times!!! But it all added to the quaint & quirky feel of the place and it is warned of in the information folder. Polperro is stunning.
Not the properties fault and it should have been easy and stress free but someone had parked in our allocated car parking space but this was easily rectified by the property manager who advised us to leave a note on our dash board. Doing this meant we were able to park elsewhere without getting a parking ticket. As we went out of season there were lots of other places to park but I'd imagine this being trickier in the summer months when it's busy. Top tip - make sure that you have a pen and paper in the car just incase!!! I wouldn't imagine that this happens too often but we thought it was dealt with quickly and efficiently by Donna, the property manager.
Probably not recommended for people with any mobility issues due to the steep narrow stairs and lots of them but honestly, can't think of a single thing we didn't like about the place as we actually loved the stairs and exploring the property!!!!

Ideally situation in harbour, lovely and clean . Donna gave us contact for baggage taxi to property from car park which I would advise using.

It was a lovely, cosy central property. Free parking was a bonus and the beds were really comfortable
Nowhere to sit outside, but had benches on the pier less than 2 min walk, so sat there watching the sun go down and jumped in the sea in the morning
