Their 4 bedroom home was perfect for our 11 person + 1 dog, family vacation. The house is immaculate but yet very comfortable. The best part is the well-equipped kitchen. Day hiking in the mountains (but if you prefer the concrete/asphault that's just outside the front door), and access to beaches are not far by car. Walt and Terri are very easy to work with and give very concise instructions for the home during your stay. We've rented other homes using VRBO, but Walt and Terri's exceeded the others by far. We look forward to renting from them again next summer. The only downside to this vacation was that we only booked it for one week...2 weeks is a must!! Trust me, it's worth it! :-)

As stated in all the previous reviews, this home is wonderful. We have used VRBO to rent homes in the Tahoe area many times and have always been pleased. We were hoping to return to this home, as it has everything we wanted for a perfect getaway. The shower head in the second bathroom was loose as we discovered when we found water spraying all over the wall. They had wrapped it with pipe tape, so we tightened by hand and wrapped a washcloth around it. Problem solved for our stay and I let the owner know. One of the kids accidentally spilled a smoothie on a blanket. I treated it with some stain remover and left it on the washing machine. I let the owner know. The neighbors came home at 11 pm on our last night, proceeded to move things (furniture?) in and out of their truck while their dog ran outside barking. I chalked it up to being in a neighborhood and felt thankful that they hadn't been there earlier in the week. I didn't say anything to the owner. Big mistake. I received an email from Terry the evening we left saying that she was refunding our deposit and that the house looked great. Two days later, I received a text message from her asking me "where is the piece of missing floor?" I had no idea what she was talking about, so I called her. She was very upset, accused my husband of "cutting through her floor with a knife", said the neighbors complained that my kids were outside at 1 am making noise (on a night when they weren't home), and told me that the shower head was fine before I arrived so we must have done something to it and tried to fix it. To clarify - I don't take pipe tape on vacation. She yelled "You are going to pay for this!" and hung up on me. She sent me a photo of a hole in her floor that had tools lying around it and pretty clearly looked as if it was cut to put a heating/cooling vent inside. Four boards of laminate flooring had been perfectly cut. I'm not sure if she didn't know about work that was to be done or ? I've never heard back. We did receive our full deposit back. If you choose to rent from them, I have only one recommendation, call her with ANY small problem, noisy neighbors included. We will never return.
