It was central. Friendly staff. Beautiful room, very comfortable.

The outside bar was closed due to there being not enough staff.

Unser Zimmer hieß The Library und es war tatsächlich als Bibliothek eingerichtet. Der Hit war der Wirlpool mit Kerzenleuchtern und schweren Samtvorhängen im Wohnbereich. Einfach super. Das Restaurant und die Bar des Hauses sind großartig.

Restaurant. Food was excellent

Breakfast was lovely as was the delish fresh shell fish evening meal. The band was good and the ambience was perfect. staff were friendly particularly the breakfast staff.

We were stashed due to unprecedented floods causing landslides and flooding. There was no road out the following day. Without writing a book, the staff initially were very accommodating until we found out via another guest that they were charging full price for another night, which was a bit unfair as it was not through choice. Then we were told it would be the full price of £225 and not the price we got on booking .com. We also found out later in the day that the road was open at Dalmally and decided to check out, to both save money and get home to our families. Only to be told we would be charge 5 more hours as we had passed the check out time of 12 midday! We were stumped! Been going to the George for years and found their compassion leaving a lot to be desired!!

Beautiful old hotel with great atmosphere. The food in the restaurant was very good and we were really pleased to experience live music as well.

Water pressure in the shower was low.

Service beim Essen, schlechten Tisch für 4 Personen zugewiesen. Mussten Tisch wechseln. Auch danach kein aufmerksamer Service.

Room was beautifully decorated. A lot of thought had gone into the layout. The George was full of character and history. The staff where wonderful. Could not fault them at all and made the stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was fresh and tasty

We decided to eat our dinner at the George. Sadly the quality was disappointing. Our chips where hard and the desert tho tasty was laughably small. Certainly not worth the money charged.

The location was great, I was ghost hunting at Inveraray Jail and was right next door - brilliant as I was a lone female coming and going in the early hours. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for me. I had an excellent view from my window and a "roll top" bath in my room - fabulous! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

I don’t know we didn’t stay the night as we were not happy with the room not being in the hotel.

It should have been clear that the room we were getting was not in the hotel. It was out the back near a really noisy bar area.
