The staff was friendly and pleasant. There were croissants, muffins, fruit, coffee, and tea available for breakfast. But this hotel doesn’t deserve a rating above 8.0 in my opinion. More like a 7.0. This is an old motel with little modernization. The street traffic was loud. The bed was very hard. Cleanliness was so-so. There are better choices in the Burlington/Colchester area.

We chose this hotel because it was the only one available. Unfortunately the rates were inflated due to it being a weekend. To our chagrin, there was no elevator, so we took bags up steep wooden stairs. We were not given any information about where ice was etc. we went down to front desk because we couldn’t find a way to turn on the AC. Girl at desk told us there was a “portable” thing with a button. We figured out there was actually a thermostat on the wall. AC worked great, hotel is of age, but beds were comfortable and it was pretty clean. Pleasant surprise upon leaving, there were fresh muffins, croissants and bananas for guests to take, along with coffee, tea, oranges.

Pretty clean room. Room is pretty dated, bed was comfortable. A/C was a little noisy. For the money it was worth it.

our stay was very good. however, we will never book anything through hotels.com. and we will not recommend them to anyone. it cost us over $200 more for the room than booking directly, which is what I will do in the future. There needs to be hangers in the room and the water that comes out of the ice machine is not cold. The inn is very convenient to downtown Burlington.

Perfectly clean with comfy beds, but small, tight room, tiny bathroom, rooms face busy road. Suited our needs.

The door bell situation is weird. Someone was ringing it in the middle of the night waking us up. Then the two women upstairs were engaged in very loud obnoxious relations for an hour at 3:00 am. No care was given that others might be in the hotel with them.Then, men in the hallway talking loudly and slamming doors at 6:00. I got zero sleep for a pretty hefty price.

I liked the quaintness of the property. It was a good mixture of old with the new. Also, I appreciated the attention to detail & the things they did with purposeful intention. I could tell they really cater to their regular customers. It was sweet.

Check-in was a breeze. All of the staff we encountered were very nice. There were some breakfast items in the morning (muffins, croissants, bananas, coffee, etc.).
The room was very clean and the linens were comfortable. My only complaint, if you could even call it that, would be that the bed was a bit too much on the soft side for me.

Staff great. But the external stairs not ideal. Also gravel portion of parking lot has a hard transiruon from paved area and is too narrow. Scraped car twice as poorly lit and narrow passage espexially during storm.

Super clean. Comfortable bed. Microwave and fridge in room. Coffee, tea, and fresh fruit available at hall station. Problem with the air conditioning in our room but manager was great and worked to find us another room. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location that was easy to find. Excellent attentive service. Guy went out of his way to ensure we would arrive in time to check in. Bed was fairly stiff, but otherwise a good deal for a night’s stay.

It’s a short car ride to downtown but cheaper than staying down town. It’s not particularly “updated”, but it’s clean, safe and serviceable. It’s easy to get to both downtown and the Shelburne museum. The beds were comfy.

i would NOT rate this place as a 8.5 something (as advertised) - definitely more like a 6...poor "continental breakfast" - no bowls for oatmeal...access to outside door at end of hallway on ground level never locked

Sure , the carpet is weird, but it is clean and in good condition. The rooms have thoughtful touches like a power strip in front of the bedside table, and the bathroom sink outside the toilet/shower. The breakfast is self-serve and very good, including keurig coffee. Owners are on-site, helpful, and nice. Would absolutely stay again.

No shower curtain, Why wouldnt you put a shower curtain in the bathroom. There was water all over the floor it was unavoidable
No elevator which wasnt too bad, people hanging around in the hallways. I wouldnt stay again. Also the room keys didnt work. Luckily our door was propped open. The beds were comfortable though.
