We booked this place months ago and had pre-paid, so after seeing some of the recent reviews just before our stay we were very concerned. We contacted the property and were assured that we were expected and that everything was in order. And we were not disappointed! The access to the garage and appartment was seemless, and everything inside the appartment was exactly as advertised. In fact, the listing photos do not do it justice because the appartment is actually on three levels, with the living room and master bedroom having a similar view of the marina.

There were a few fixtures and fittings (i.e towel rails and toilet roll holders) in need of replacement or repair. The dishwasher did not clean properly, so we had to (re)wash everything by hand. The commute into LA attractions is about an hour, so take that into account in your planning.

Worst experience ever. Do not book this property if you want to stay at the penthouse as advertised. Even an hour before check in time, we received no message regarding how to enter the property. We got worried and messaged the property. The property did not respond, so we called multiple times. When the manager finally picked up our call, they informed us that there is a plumbing issue and that we will only be able to stay at the penthouse for one night (we booked for two nights). We thought this was weird because if there is a plumbing issue, we should be in a different room for both nights. We inquired several times regarding this mismatch but the property manager did not answer our questions. They even said that we were “lucky” to be able to stay in another room in the same apartment, which was located on the ground floor but was supposed to have the “same view” as the penthouse—how could this be possible?? The manager did not offer to compensate for the sudden change. Since they offered to cancel, we decided not to stay and asked for a full refund but received NO REPLY or NO REFUND after we sent that message. We were forced to find another place to stay and had to make a long call to booking.com to ask for a refund, which was a very stressful experience. We were travelling as a family and did not want this terrible experience to taint our memory. We are writing this review in hope that anyone who is looking to book this property is aware of the possible troubles they may have to go through because of the extremely rude and disrespectful property manager. We hope that this writing this review could can avoid anyone else having an awful experience like we did.

The view from the penthouse is beautiful. The beds & sheets are very comfortable. I also love how quiet the area is in the night & morning.
