one thing was strange: to light up the bathroom downstairs, we had to open the door to the corridor.

We didn't actually end up staying at this apartment because it got double booked. So we got bumped to another apartment, which at least we got rebooked the day before traveling, but that unit was just OK for 2 nights. The biggest downside was the half roll of toilet paper, which for a family of four didn't last long so we had to buy our own. Kind of silly considering the amount of money we paid for the rental

The only positive thing to say about this apartment is the location, the neighbourhood is great and close to public transport.

When you enter the apartment complex you are confronted with a smell in the foyer, which is dark. There is a sensor light which barely lights up the area and does not last long. There is a door to the left which we assume was for another apartment. Then there is a small set of stairs that lead to the accommodation which has an angle in them and was difficult to get suitcases around. At the top of the stairs there is a private apartment and the holiday apartment. There is no outside lock on the actual holiday apartment only a hook inside, meaning just about anyone could get in while you're out. The apartment is on the small side, very dated. Downstairs there is a small couch with TV, second toilet, kitchenette, dining table. The sink did not even have a plug. Steep stairs leading to upstairs with two small bedrooms, bathroom and laundry. Lighting is poor all throughout the apartment, the light did not work in the laundry. There was a wardrobe at the top of the stairs which did not have any hanging space and a safe underneath it with no key to open. When we used the washing machine it leaked water on the floor. The bathroom had mould, and started smelling only after two showers. After the washing machine leaked we sent a message through to the owner/manager, who we still have not heard from or met. We went out for the day, nothing was fixed. That night my husband and I went out for a couple of drinks, our 17 year old son stayed in the apartment, while we were out someone was trying to get in unannounced. Our son was freaking out and called us. We left the next day. This place should not be available at all.

It was cold! It would be helpful to have binder with info about how everything works.

Door to our specific apartment did not lock from the outside and was shared with at least one other tenant, which made us uncomfortable. Narrow staircase up to the room wasn't lit and at night quite dangerous. No house manual provided, we had to ask for the WiFi information and for the heating to be switched on. Slow replies and we did not get any heat until day 2. Heat was then switched off again and we had to awkwardly ask for it to be switched back on. No tea towels in kitchen, pillows were quite uncomfortable.

location and charm - beautiful little hidden back street that was peaceful and yet so central

the fact that the apartment cannot be locked separately from the rest of the property. this is very poor for security and meant carrying around heavy valuables that could not be left. a separate lock is definitely needed.

The apartment was very well equipped and there were many extras, like a hair dryer and a hair straightener. The bathroom and the wc were clean. The location was also very convenient.

The rest of the apartment was not very clean. There were yellow stains on our sheets and the plates, dishes, and cutlery were dirty so we had to wash them to use them. Also, half the lights were not working like the one over the kitchen table. Lastly, the front door of the apartment cannot be locked even though there are other renters in the building which made us feel unsafe leaving the house. While in the house, we could keep the door shut with a bolt.

The location is great. John was a wonderful host! He offered us a welcoming drink and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation for dinner. We had a king bed and the mattress was so comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

its close to the city center around 10 min walk

the bed is not so comfortable , we havent heating and at night it was a little bit cold and the price for the quality is a little bit high but thats amsterdam!! expensive

Perfect location. Very close to the city center on foot. Very nice, clean, and comfortable apartment. Well equipped kitchen if you want to make some breakfast. Easy check in and check out.☑️ The communication via messages was really fast!

Only one Minor issue: the 'box' in the shower that contained the shower gel did not work so we couldn't use it. But it could happen to anyone. I'm sure they will fix it for the next guest 😊

Great location, 10 min walk to the bus that goes directly to the airport (397). 20 min walk to the historical center. 10 min walk to museums. Value for money is amazing!

Cozy 2-bedroom-apartment in a lovely neighbourhood in central Amsterdam. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were well equipped. Easy check-in and check-out via key locker box.
