It was a wonderful family experience.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly. If you get a lake view room it’s worth the extra few bucks. It’s also in a very walkable location to both Houghton and Hancock’s downtown areas.

Always a pleasure! Family came to town and this is our favorite, conviently located to all our needs. Sauna is fabulous!

Staff was friendly, room was very clean, right by the bridge. Pool and hot tub area very, no strong chemical smell. Only drawback was no bar/restaurant like advertised on hotel booking site.

Tried to check in a little after 3 pm check in was at 3. They said my room was not ready yet they said they had a housekeeper call in and they were running behind. Yet there were four people behind the counter and I was the only customer that was there. You would think that if they were running behind one of the four behind the desk could have stepped up and helped out with the cleaning. I asked if every room was dirty because there was very few cars in the parking lot. The hotel is not convienent to anything. If you are going to this area stay in Houghton not Hancock. The hotel was clean but the location made it not ideal.

Only one complaint is there is no elevator so hauling stuff to second floor requires a little work but it wasn't bad. The views of the channel and lake are awesome.

View of the water was nice. Staff was very friendly. Good breakfast choices. Only disappointment was the lounge was closed due to lack of vendor.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Every staff member was friendly and helpful!

The waterfront room had a beautiful view of the canal. The room was clean and had nice lighting. The staff was super friendly and called our room within 5 minutes of check-in to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Breakfast was average. I would have preferred more hot items like scrambled eggs and sausage, but they did offer waffles. The hotel was conveniently located.

Always a great stay! The staff is friendly, the motel quiet and the breakfast wonderful. We will be back as long as our student is up at Michigan Tech. I recommend stepping outside at night and taking a picture of the bridge lit up with the lights of the city over the water...beautiful!

We had an issue with the TV and the staff was great! Rooms facing the water have been remodeled and are nice. This is an older hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Paige did a great job to resolve our issue.

Nice hotel on the water. Adjacent to a short city owned boardwalk on the water. Good mattresses, bedding & we slept well. We really loved the employee recommended restaurant list. Would stay here again.
