Impressive entrance and ambiance but all down hill from then on, apart from the staff who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel appeared to be struggling and did not make it on many fronts such as: -our room had no pictures just picture hooks on the wall -there were coffee stains on the walls -the bathroom sink plug did not work -very noise (old) air conditioning service -decent coffee at breakfast was an extra charge -parking was extra and as everyone would have a car it should be in the room price as are beds, linen TV etc. -catering is very much like average pub food. Sorry, but it just does not rate.

Great location for river view. Great spot for kids to play in the pool. Rooms and public areas are fresh and attractive but the parking process is a major negative. $15 a day, supposedly run by a company other than Rydges, with a difficult to navigate self paying system that eventually we had to get the reception desk to do for us. It would seem slightly more tolerable if reception automatically took care of this on check in. Sadly this is not the protocol. No telephone in room, so for room service we had to actually go downstairs to order. When it did arrive, the battered fish was lovely.

Room had a terrible smell upon entering. The kids beds head area were very dusty caused allergy issues for both. Shower head was leaking and sprayed water onto toilet paperwork roll and toilet. Facilites outside of the room was fantastic. It was a great location, nice views, very relaxing feel. Staff were very welcoming and lovely.

Our room was not ready so we had to stay in a smaller room. We have been going to Sails for numerous times and was disappointed this time.

I was shocked how dated the rooms are and how old the beds are. I didn’t sleep well, I could hear the neighbours showers and upstairs shower too. The carpet was very stained and the bathroom was something you would find in a 3 star property. I would not pay this money to stay here again. Receptionists were all lovely. The bar girl was nice, though I don’t like being asked if I would like change when buying something. A tip should be something a patron would decide to leave after all the service. The pool and spa was nice and kept tidy. But overall, the hotel needs to renovate. The price is not worth what they are providing.
