The staff at this hotel are the loveliest people. To a person, they seem to all love working there and it shows. Nice hotel, super nice people.

We concluded that Hyatt invests in the breakfast bar and aesthetics of the hotel, but not the furniture. By that I mean: the bed is an old-school spring design, and not comfortable - very bouncy. Other hotels have memory foam and it's sooo much better.
Also, the furniture in our room, and in the lobby/breakfast area is quite uncomfortable - maybe they don't want you lingering there too long?
That said, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated the free parking and overall convenient access/location. The pool and excercise room were very nice too.

I arrived at around 9:45pm and would love to leave an excellent review however Hyatt Place Portland was unable to find my reservation! The receptionist was kind enough to help me find another hotel to stay at because Hyatt was totally booked!

Our stay was okay overall. The staff were helpful and accommodating, which we appreciated. However, there was an odor in the room when we first walked in, almost like dried sweat. While the bed sheets were clean, it seems the carpets might need to be replaced, as that’s likely where the odor is coming from. I had to purchase an odor eliminator spray to help out with the odor.

Breakfast is average, serving both hot and cold items (other Hyatt Places have had a little more variety). The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from public transportation, making trips into downtown Portand very easy.

Great location close to airports and highways with ample food options within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast was much better than most but not as good as some Hyatt’s I’ve stayed at. Would recommend and book again.
