I was gives a ground level room overlooking a passage between buildings, It only had thin see through type curtains and no drapes, essentially leaving the inside on full display when the lights are on. Not a comfortable situation, especially not for a woman alone in the room. The doors have old fashioned keys and no security chains or bolts. The door is to an open corridor facing the woods.

A ver nice hotel in Baddeck. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. It is a large hotel for town and a favorite of bus tours it appears.

Very nice hotel grounds, friendly people, decent rooms (Motel Style), beds cozy, pillows should be improved, lots of parking. Skip the $15 breakfast.

Beautiful property and grounds. Dining was convenient and very good, offering both breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff. I wish the coffee provided in the rooms was a better quality.

The room was clean and comfortable with adequate space. The location was good; close to dining choices with great views. The quality of television picture and choices of channels was very poor. The internet was not good at all, with frequent complete loss of coverage. Repeated complaints to the staff resolved nothing. We would expect with the size of the facility, as well as catering to tour buses, that the amenities would be of high quality. Quite disappointing for the price!

Good location for Cabot Trail

Nice spot for a nights stop along the Cabot trail. Baddeck was a great little town

The location was perfect, the accommodations were clean, well maintained and comfortable and the service was good for our needs. We were there to explore the west side of Cape Breton and used the site to clean ourselves up and rest. There are some minor signs of the age of the place, but they don’t detract from the overall feel of the space. The staff were helpful when we asked for a 3rd set of towels for our kid. The a/c unit was very loud while we were sleeping and there were cobwebs and some bugs in the interior common corridors, we did try a meal from the restaurant and it was good, but we found it a little bland for our tastes in a Indian cuisine. We think the food is probably prepared for the majority of the older clientele visiting this area.

We had a nice stay there. Easy parking and walking around. Friendly stuff and beautiful view outside.

Comfortable and walking distance to everything

Good property with park like grounds. Rooms are clean. Toiletries and supplies minimal and miniature sizes, could be more generous. Breakfast for a charge leaves much to be desired. Cheap cafeteria quality, day old quality baking and basket of pre toasted cold bread. 1 watermelon fruit selection. They’d do better to up their game or not offer at all. Clearly a cash grab for hostage guests as there are no convenient options for guests in the morning ready to continue on with their journey. Staff training could be more professional. Seems like a family run operation with mandate to cut cost beyond reasonable.

Excellent staff and service. Only wished the TV was more modern.

The dinning was very basic and we were put in a room near the kitchen with bad smells and noisy. The hair dryer did not work and the room was really small. I wouldn’t stay here again given all the other local options

Amazing hotel with a pretty decent restaurant. Our room was clean, had a great view overlooking the beautifully maintained flower garden at the hotel. Hotel area, lobby, staff are very welcoming. There is certainly some room for improvements in the rooms but overall an A rating for the price we paid. Parking can be challenging as the spots are a bit tight so park in the front if you have a bigger vehicle. Convenient location near the lake, amazing Alexander Bell Museum (do not miss this) and the Cabot Trail.

No wifi in the evening just in the morning and early afternoon and a poor choice of tv stations
