Pretty as a picture, with fabulous attention to detail. Comfy, cozy, relaxing and just so beautiful. The garden is just lovely, the cottage itself is just wonderful. We loved our stay and can't wait to book again. Lisa and Ben are fantastic hosts, the Old Oak Tree Cottage is very well equipped with every thing you need and much more. We arrived after dark on friday night to find the cottage warm and cozy. From the moment we pulled into the driveway to see the little cottage all lit up waiting for our arrival, we felt welcome. The next morning opening the curtains we were met with a beautiful sight. The grounds of the cottage are absolutely gorgeous. We spent many hours next to the babbling brook reading in the warm winter sun. Late afternoon we headed inside to sit by the fire and relax. The cottage was well kitted out with everything we needed. No detail was spared. The beds were comfy and cozy with electric blanks to keep us snug. The kitchen was fully equiped with everything imaginable and then some. The owner was so lovely, leaving fresh bread,eggs and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. We were sad to leave and come home, honestly this cottage is the most charming place we have stayed. We loved it so much we are just about to book our next stay. 10/10 highly recommended.
