Creatively designed using two repurposed shipping containers, the industrial-themed Cargo Villa is a large, modern cabin ideal for families or group of friends. With its innovative design, the villa offers stunning Murray River views from the main living area, master bedroom, and the expansive outdoor deck. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Clayton Bay, the Cargo Villa combines distinctive industrial charm with contemporary comfort, making it a truly unique retreat.
The small, peaceful town of Clayton Bay is situated on the banks of the Murray River, one hour’s drive from Adelaide, and 12 km up-river from the historic river port town of Goolwa.
Nestled on the shores of a picturesque bay, surrounded by shady trees and abundant birdlife, the Cargo Villa is situated within the Clayton Bay Riverside Holiday Park, a small family-owned business and tranquil tourist destination.

Kayak and Stand-up paddle board hire:
Conveniently, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards can be hired within the park from Clayton Bay Stand-Up Paddle Board and Kayak Hire.
Swimming and Fishing:
Cool down on those hot summer’s days with a refreshing dip in the Murray River. Along the shoreline exists two shallow, protected bays with sandy river floor beneath, offering a safe swimming area, making our caravan park a great choice to experience some family fun. If you’re keen on fishing, anglers both big and small can take the opportunity for a spot of fishing.
Campfires and stargazing:
Nature lovers will appreciate the abundant birdlife, stunning sunsets and waterside walking trails. In the cooler months you can sit outside and experience the warmth of your very own fire. Campfires are a great way to create special moments with your family and friends - melting marshmallows, sharing stories and looking up at the stars together. Fire pits are available for hire during fire season for a small fee. For your convenience, firewood is available to purchase; however, guests are welcome to BYO firewood.
