"The Contentment" has Private Portage Lake frontage with Boat Dock directly across the street from this completely remodeled 4-bedroom 2 full and 1 half bath cottage that sleeps 8 people, located in the heart of beautiful Onekama on M-22 Scenic Highway! This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Portage Lake is one of West Michigan's most beautiful fishing lakes and gives you direct access to Lake Michigan. There's a public boat launch just a block away! The Contentment has private access to Portage Lake and Boat Dock! The dock is shared between guests of the "The Contentment" and the "Stone Cottage." The Contentment is a four-bedroom with 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bath that sleeps 8 people and is the larger of the two cottages. The Stone Cottage is on the same parcel of land and the smaller of the two cottages, which sleeps 4 people. The Stone Cottage is rented separately. We mention the neighboring cottage so that our Guests are not surprised or confused when they see two stone houses. Children and infants are welcome; however, Parents/Guardians should plan on bringing what they need. No crib, highchair, baby gates, etc., for children or infants. Pets allowed within reason and on approval. Booking Policy minimum 4 nights.
HOUSE RULES FOR THE CONTENTMENT
Booking Policy minimum 4 nights.
1. Check-In starts at 4:00 pm and Check-Out by 10:00 am.
2. Quiet Hours: 11 pm to 7 am.
3. No Events.
4. No Smoking.
5. Pets allowed within reason - $45 fee per pet. Pets must be secured on the Premises and on a leash at all times when outside. Please no pets on beds or furniture. Thank you!
6. No fireworks or firecrackers.
7. Bonfires: Guests may have a fire in the designated fire pit only. Guests are prohibited from having a fire on the beach. Bonfires must be under the direct supervision of an adult at all times and must be extinguished prior to leaving the fire.
8. Property Care: Guests are asked to maintain the cleanliness of the property and are expected to report any damages or issues that occur during their stay.
9. Parking: Guests should park behind The Contentment (larger of the two stone cottages). Parking is accessed through the alley from 1st Avenue. The vacation rental next door is called the Stone Cottage (smaller of the two cottages) and their guests share the parking area with you. There is enough space for six parking spots behind The Contentment. Four are allowed for The Contentment and two for the Stone Cottage. Overflow parking is in the side yard of the Stone Cottage on 1st Avenue.
10. Trash Disposal: Trash pick-up is on Friday. Please place trash in dumpster during your stay.
11. Private Dock: The dock is shared with the neighbor. Stone Cottage uses East side. The Contentment uses the West side.
12. Kayaks are for adult use only and are only meant to be used close to shoreline. Life jackets are to be worn during use and use of kayaks are at the users own risk.
13. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests that may occupy this dwelling overnight is eight (8).
14. No Illegal Activities: Illegal activities are strictly prohibited on the property.
15. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
16. Respect for Neighbors: Guests will respect neighbors' privacy and property.
17. Wi-Fi Use: Wi-Fi must not be used for illegal activities.
18. The person who makes the booking must be at least 25 years old and the booking individual must be part of the guest party that will occupy the rental property throughout the entire duration of the reservation.
