Excellent!!!!!!

Paul and Claudie have created a perfect space for exploring Avignon and Provence. Right down the street from Les Halles, and an easy walk to everything. Paul greeted us and provided an awesome introduction to this sweet, sweet property. We can’t wait to return next year!

This place has everything! Perfect location - close to the center of town, very close to the food hall and many restaurants, but tucked away so you don’t get any of the noise from the nearby bars at night. It was clean and comfortable. Paul was ready and waiting for me when I got there and took the time to explain everything to me, and was prompt to meet me when I was checking out as well. I selfishly don’t want anyone to know about this place, I definitely plan on being back!

We had a wonderful stay in Avignon. The apartment was clean, well furnished, and in an amazing location. Within walking distance to the Palais des Papes and a lot of other activities. We rented a car for the week and were able to park easily in the Palais’ parking lot and had a great time visiting the nearby villages. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Claudie met us at the apartment and gave us a lot of helpful information on activities to do in the area and showed us how to use the washing machine and other amenities. We had such a wonderful stay, thank you for your amazing hospitality!

The host are great. The location is unbelievable. In the center of everything. Everything you need is within walking distance. No car needed. We found that out😂😂. We’ll definitely will book it again. Thanks for a great time in a cool city behind the wall. Love it.

Everything about our stay with Claudie and Paul was perfect! Claudie met us exactly when we were scheduled. She is delightful and made herself available if we needed throughout our stay. She responded quickly whenever we contacted her and was delighted to share information about her city with us. The apartment is perfect. It’s in a fantastic neighborhood, a ten minute walk to the central train station in a quiet neighborhood filled with restaurants, grocery stores, pedestrian streets filled with lovely shops and the Halles market. It is in the heart of Avignon and about a ten minute walk to the Palace du Popes. The apartment itself was perfect. A spacious bright clean kitchen/living area overlooking a lovely pedestrian street; a cozy comfortable bedroom and a great bathroom with a nifty heater. We specifically looked for a place with a washer and air conditioning, but it had so many more amenities! We enjoyed finding our dinner and breakfast at the local market and eating at the apartment. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The building is old, and the apartment is accessed by two very old and somewhat precarious stairways. I’m 61 with a replaced hip and knee and had no problem. We’re hoping to return to Avignon someday. When we do, we will ABSOLUTELY stay here again!

Spotless quiet apartment in ideal location. Lovely blend of full modern remodel with ancient stone walls and wooden ceiling beams. Excellent bathroom with plentiful stable hot water and nice shower. Comfortable bed with lots of built in storage in the small bedroom. New sound resistant windows. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners could not be better. Extremely responsive and caring with no intrusion. Highest recommendation

It was great a great location for exploring the old Avignon. Very walkable. The whole experience was very enjoyable, with help from our hosts. The only disappointment was our choosing of February time frame. Nice to be out of high season traffic, which we intended, but a few things were closed for winter holidays. Paul and Claudine are great hosts. The apartment is charming and close to shopping, the farmers market, cafes and restaurants. Avignon is a lovely town for a week or two in Provence, with access to Nimes, Arles, St. Remy, Aix, Chateaux Neuf de Pape, and further locations by train like Nice, Marseille, and others. A short TGV ride (2.5 hours and $70 one way) from Paris and into the historic town of Avignon (one hundred years of popes lived here). Great place. Charming owners. And a lovely town central to all Provence excursions. Mike

This very appealing apartment was perfect for our stay in Avignon. It is very central but also quiet with a homey atmosphere. Paul and Claudie were excellent hosts and provided many helpful maps, brochures and the like that helped us make the most of our vacation.

The location is perfect – very central but quiet. It is also very clean and nicely decorated with great natural light and everything you need for your stay including guide books and maps. Paul and Claudie were such lovely hosts, meeting us with the keys and at the end when we left. We very much hope to return as Avignon is a great base for exploring Provence, and this was a lovely home to come back to each day after a day out.

I can't imagine a better apartment in the center of old Avignon. The location is perfect, and the apartment is absolutely charming. Paul and Claudie were the perfect hosts, meeting us at the apartment upon arrival and sharing their recommendations for dining, shopping and sightseeing. I will definitely stay here again! I should mention that the staircase to the apartment is narrow and winding which could be problematic for those with mobility issues. For me, it added to the charm.

Wonderful apartment close to everything!

We spent 5 wonderful nights in this flat which is in the center of the old Town walls. Communication was easy, and we were met at check in and check out. The kitchen seemed well equipped, but we were so close to numerous restaurants that we never ate in. This was very comfortable for two people. We would stay again.

The pictures don't do this wonderful apartment justice! It is so wonderful and in the perfect location! The bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is just the right size for two. Paul and Claudine were both so kind and great to communicate with all throughout the process. Great recommendations for places to eat and go, great hosts. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the apartment and its hosts. We will definitely stay here agian!

From the outset this was an excellent experience! Paul and Claudie are lovely hosts who have created a perfect Avignon retreat. The location makes exploring Avignon a breeze, recommendations to local restaurants , markets and more simplified the stay, and the apartment is gorgeous, spacious and spotlessly clean. We are grateful to have experiences this perfect Avignon locale.

Paul and Claudine were excellent hosts, and very nice people. Paul met us when we arrived late, in order to give us an orientation and show us around. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and more. (kitchen utensils, pots and pans, cutting boards, etc.). After we left some clothes in the closet, Paul even dropped them off at the train station hotel for us for when we left town. We wished we could have chatted with them more. Thank you!

This is a beautiful, clean apartment with everything you need for your stay. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, dishcloths, coffee, sugar, etc. There is A/C in the apartment. It is in a fabulous location - a short walk to the railway station and the main square and shopping street. There are cafes, restaurants and shops right outside the door, though the apartment is quiet at night. The hosts, Claudie and Paul, are lovely - very kind and helpful and answered all messages in a timely manner. I would absolutely stay here again!

We absolutely loved this little apartment tucked away in the centre of the shopping and restaurant district. We only had to step out the door to buy our wine, baguettes and cheese, or to find an outdoor cafe. The apartment has air conditioning that worked great, but we preferred to open the windows since it was spring and not too hot yet. The apartment is on the second floor with a twisty, narrow staircase so this is something to keep in mind for anyone with mobility issues. All in all, a wonderful home base to tour Avignon and the neighbouring villages.

We LOVED this apartment for just the two of us. Within walking distance of everything (like Les Halles Avignon). Easy to park and walk over for the day. The hosts Paul and Claudie were very responsive and generous with their time and expertise. We really loved Avignon and would return to this same apartment anytime we return in the future.

I was visiting the Provence for some wine tasting and R&R and chose this flat in Avignon and was so glad I did. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 persons, has everything you need and was incredibly comfortable. The location is right in the center of town but very quiet and low on street noise. It’s also minutes from the best sites, Les Halles market and the bus/train transit hubs. Host Paul was terrific and made sure arrival/check out was seamless and was readily available for any needs, reccos and questions etc. I’ve stayed in many flats throughout France and can say that if you’re looking for a great place to stay while you enjoy the south/Provence, would highly recommend it.

The location of the apartment was great. Everything in the historic part of Avignon was within easy walking distance and Les Halles was right around the corner. The owner met us at the apartment even though our train did not get in until 9:00 pm. He gave us an overview of the area as well as restaurant suggestions. The apartment was quiet at night, and it was nice to have a small washing machine. The building dates to the 1730's. The apartment is up two flights of narrow stairs. As long as you are able to climb steps, you should have a wonderful stay.

This charming apartment is just as listed on VRBO. Quaint, uncluttered and clean, the apartment had just what was needed. In a the heart of Avignon, the apartment is well located so we could plan our bike rides in the area. There was no issue carrying our rented bikes up and down the stairs to the second floor apartment. Paul is a very gracious host, responsive to communication before and during our trip. Paul met us at the apartment and gave us very helpful information about the apartment and about Avignon. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Avignon!

Our stay in Paul's apartment was absolutely perfect. It is as, or even more, charming than the pictures. And the location is perfectly situated in the heart of this charming, beautiful city. If we are ever lucky enough to come again, we hope this lovely spot will be available. Book it, you won't be sorry!

This is a great property! It is the kind of apartment we would retire too when we get too old to take care of our house. The owners stayed in touch prior to arrival and met us as we were walking up from the train station. Paul gave us a great briefing on the room and the sites in the area. Left us with a good departure plan, since we had an early departure. Everything in the apartment function perfectly. Great stay!
