The room was clean, the views over the sea was beautiful.
The lady who was on reception was lovely, she couldn't have done anymore to help us settle in and nothing was to much.

Struttura molto bella. Posizione comoda
In generale un po’ datata, pareti poco insonorizzate, si sentivano molti rumori.

Lovely old Grand Hotel style building.
To quote a local, “It has become a big B&B only, these days.”
Well, there is a Non-Licensed bar. However, there is no food available until Breakfast time.

Great location
The carpet in the room was stained

Friendly staff and clean throughout.
Breakfast TERRIBLE. Processed meat pretending to be bacon and sausages. Soggy scrambled egg. Weak, tasteless coffee. Room was clean and comfortable. But don’t buy the breakfast. Much better breakfast value to be had elsewhere in the town. Hotel had no restaurant or bar. Feels like it is about to close down. They never told me they had a car park, even though I asked their guidance on where to park.

The room was great value, pretty basic but with everything you need for a short stay. The staff, without exception, were very friendly and engaging. The building itself is a fabulous reminder of grand times gone by. The location was right in the centre but super quiet.
Not a lot. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment.
9.0
Fine old building which needs updating however there was a sense of nostalgia but a pleasant place to stay
I was informed there are 85 rooms but only 6 car parking spaces, this could have been an issue.

Good location .
Very dated, shower door missing and replaced by curtain which didn’t stay inside shower tray which ment the bathroom floor was flooded !!! Hotel in need of updating !!!
The fruit salad at breakfast was still partly frozen!!!

Hotel was grand on the outside, a little tired on the inside but price reflected this.

Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff.
Hadn’t got a bar even though the facilities are there. Breakfast was good but the restaurant for evening meal wasn’t there! It’s such a shame but the hotel needs some care and attention. The reception and entrance has been decorated well and the room e we stayed in was good however the hotel is tired throughout.

Staff were friendly and helpful.
This is a grade II listed building and has some interesting features.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing special.
The furnishings felt a bit dated and the bar was deadly quiet.

Shower took ages to get hot and wasted water
No room service and was handed toilet roll

The staff were excellent, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was fine, no frills really but just what we needed. The food was lovely. Both breakfast and evening meals were spot on, and a few choices were given each day. The views were awesome, and the hotel is perfectly placed for visiting the local attractions. There are toilets by the bar which are nice and clean.
Our shower had no door at all and it looked slightly dirty on the shelves etc? The hotel needs work doing to it and our friends room wasn't up to scratch but they managed to swap to a different room. Being an old and very large building it will cost a lot of money to fix up. The windows are single glazed so not very good at keeping the heat in, luckily there's not much noise otherwise you'd probably hear it.

Room was very comfortable, we booked the larger twin room and it had a sea view!

Eigentlich ein besonderer Ort. Alles recht sauber
Die Einzelzimmer 62 und 64 waren richtig shabby und hellhörig. Fenster ließen sich nicht öffnen. Sperrmüll-Möblierung.
Sehr hellhörig durch schlechte Trennwände.

The location was perfect.
The room very very different to the photos on booking.com, old and dated.
The taps in the bathroom were both hot water, the electric towel rail had dodgy wiring and was tapped up with electric tape, the fixings in the bathroom were rusty, the shower head hose was so dirty it left black marks on the shower curtain! The gap under the door was so big, you could see the shoes of others passing your door.
Whoever painted the room had missed large chunks, the decor was outdated and dull!!

Classic hotel, nicely done. A wee bit tired but in a characterful way. Lovely friendly staff
No alcohol and limited atmosphere in the evening

The staff were so friendly and made us and our dog so welcome . Superb location and wonderful views. Freddie my puppy loved it and was made a fuss of.
Would be nice if the garden out the back was open as the view is lovely .

Staff are helpful, no fuss, good value breakfast, very dog and kid friendly and good location
Maybe needs a lick of paint, but they are dealing with a very old classic building

Breakfast was great. The dining room, lounge, and bar were decorated beautifully. Staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the gardens looked amazing. Overall, I was very happy and would gladly stay again. (In fact, I did come back, this was the second trip there in a week. I stayed for work and liked it so much I booked again for a couple of nights over the bank holiday weekend) I feel it is a shame that the negative reviews might put people off.
Yes, there are some issues with some decor looking a little tired and loose floorboards in places, but it is a very old building, and it is not enough to put us off returning.

Our room had amazing views and was very comfortable. Hotel in great location. Good selection of food.
Would have liked to be able to have a cup of tea on arrival but no facilities available. Rooms not serviced unless on request but this wasn’t made clear.

We were able to upgrade our room to Seaview better room. Plus we were able to have car space outside during our stay. The reception staff were helpful and helped us book dinner. The hotel was located in Lynton close to shops.

Excellent value for money. Lovely, comfortable hotel in a great location in Lynton. We had a room with a sea view without spending a fortune.
Parking is limited, but that is to be expected given the location and is the same for many other hotels in the same area.
