The location is perfect - easy to find, opposite the station and central bus terminal, and right by the river with glorious mountain views. The breakfast buffet was very good and varied, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even found us some fans for the rooms as it was hot. The Grillabend on our arrival evening was an unexpected bonus. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, indoor pool, lovely sun loungers by the river - no complaints!

our room was a low ceiling attic, the temperature in the room was about 35 degrees Celsius from 9am in the morning to 8pm in the evening, with no wind. we couldn't stay in the room for more than 5 minutes. the location is central which means noise starting 5am in the morning.

Berchtesgaden/Konigsee is a beautiful area so the general location of the hotel is great, beds were very comfortable and the room/bathroom very clean.

The decor inside the hotel was a bit tired, there was a busy road across the river from the hotel so the immediate location didn't feel so relaxing, and the breakfast food was underwhelming. Overall, our stay was fine but it was expensive in relation to what we've experienced at other hotels in Austria/Germany.

The hotel was far superior to what I was expecting! The food was delicious and the location was perfect for exploring.

Apartments were in a separate block further along the street. It is not practical when expected to use the leisure facilities pre changed using robes provided and walk along the road, especially in heavy rain. No changing facilities are provided at the swimming pool. Felt apartment residents were second rated. Our apartment block appeared to be in a block used as hotel staff accommodation. I didn't like that the outside door kept getting left on the latch, day and night. One night, our apartment door handle was turned to try to open it several times as the outside door was onntge latch again even though we locked it when we entered the block. Only half of the patio had been weeded and cleaned, and the other half had obviously been left with weeds and overhanging shrubs. On arrival, the receptionist didn't provide clear instructions to locate the apartment block. Had to return and ask a second person who explained better but felt like i was bothering her. There was no explanation of where breakfast was and times, leisure facilities. There is no inroom information for this either. Car parking is difficult when the hotel is full!

Everything. We lived in Europe for 3.5 yrs and being back there especially in such a beautiful place was tremendous. The facility and the food was excellent. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpfu.

We could use the vending machine to get some cold drinks and coffee on the first floor, but if we had a refrigerator and coffee machine in the room, it would be perfect!

When I plan I next trip to Berchtesgaden I won't even bother looking at other hotels. Everything was really great. Free parking, good breakfast, excellent location. The hotel also provides a discount card for public transportation and discounts on attractions for those staying a few nights. The river outside the hotel is beautiful; as are the views of the mountains. The staff was very friendly.

Great location overlooking the river through town. Close to railway and bus service. Newer hotel it seems, large hot buffet breakfast, lots of seating. Very nice lounge area and pool. Pool area was very warm and clean. Large room and bathroom with balcony. Wish I could stay longer.

The Spa was very pleasant with a small swimming pool and a sauna. Bathrobes are provided which is a welcome touch. Parking is on site which is very handy. The hotel was nice and clean with traditional decor. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The beds were very hard and the pillows ridiculously soft. The 'free toiletries' are just a liquid hand soap attached to the wall. The shower room is much too small, very cramped, especially for two people in a double room. Only one washbag can fit on the glass shelf over the basin, plus you crack your head on the shelf when trying to wash your face. There is no air conditioning, mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities. The mini safe is very small so you can't fit much in. Whilst fizzy water is provided, there is no still water. However, the most disappointing aspect was that the bar and restaurant were closed and we were not notified until after our booking was confirmed; the nearest decent restaurants are a short drive away across the water or quite a long trek by foot. The staff all seemed to go home in the evening so we were left to let ourselves in and out of the hotel. The lights were turned off in the public areas so there was nowhere to relax in the evening. Very disappointing as we were on our our holidays and this curtailed our enjoyment somewhat.

Did Not meet reservation commitment for a double room with 2 beds!!! Very poor checkin staff with horrible attitude!!! Smallest room and bathroom I ever had in 50 years of world travels!!! Very poor value for the high price!!
