It was unique, comfortable and had everything necessary. The bed was very comfortable and having fresh milk to go with tea and coffee was very much appreciated.
We were in Suite 100, right at the front door. People coming in/out at all hours was very disruptive. I could not sleep until after 1:30 am when hallway conversations outside our door stopped. I think carpeting or something to cut the house as well as a sign encouraging people to take their conversations into their suites might help. Many seemed oblivious to the fact that there were people in 100. They leaned on the door and gathered in the vestibule.

Location
Too noisy. Can hear people in other rooms and street traffic to the point of being unable to sleep.

Excellent location and quirky room. Comfortable bed and sofa.
the kitchen was tiny but adequate

A wonderful location close to the water and downtown. The rooms (1bedroom) were spacious and kitchen well supplied.
Almost everything else was terrible. The kitschy decorations were appalling and we moved the two plaster busts, 3 metal shields out of the room. They were in the way and ugly. The towel rack fell off the wall 5 minutes after arrival, the second door rack went from horizontal to vertical as soon as a towel was placed on it, the bedroom door handle fell off, the bathroom vent was so dusty as to be almost useless. The temperature in the room was over 80o and no windows could be opened! We phoned proprietor who seemed surprised though weather forecast was predicted. He sent over help to install two window air conditioners which did work. The cords of the window coverings were broken. The sofa bed, circa 1980, had a plastic mattress cover which we removed as it was crinkly and would have been too hot for sleep! The main hallways had orange/red shag !! carpet and a note at the entrance requested we take off our shoes! As if with bags, supplies, coats, etc. and a 3-flight walk we would do that. There was dust on all the light fixtures! This is a heritage house hotel in a prime location and I would say in serious need of much TLC.

Kitchenette well set up with everything I could need and
More!
My only issue which is beyond their control was the amount of foot traffic outside the ground floor windows.
I should have familiarized myself more with the use of the blinds, top down etc.

We have a small dog so loved that it was easy access to outside. Loved having access to a BBQ, we grilled steaks one night. The kitchen was very well equipped. Ample supply of complimentary coffees, teas, milk and creamer was a nice touch we are a more than one coffee a day people. Walking distance to a lot of shopping and restaurants. The owner was quick to respond to questions and pleasant to talk to. Really enjoyed the binder put together, some very interesting information in it and liked the owners sense of humour.
We are very early risers (4am) so go to bed early, very noisy at night with people revving their cars engines and screeching their tires in the parking lot across the street. Saturday night was noisy in the main entrance with guests coming and going, talking and yelling loudly and cursing. Wished we could have opened a window because we found it very hot even with the heat set very low, at home we sleep with a window cracked open with a fan on all winter…lol. I also didn’t sleep well because I found the pillows too hard and flat, my husband always travels with his own pillows, guess I should as well. It would be nice to have a clock radio in the room, since we were without T.V. service for a few hours it would have been nice to have music.

Location only
Very dirty. No elevator. Sofa-bed was filled with bedbugs. I got bites everywhere

Nice kitchen. Plenty of hot water.
The floor had stains. The couch was really stained. The room didn't look like the pictures.

We stayed there twice and you can’t beat the location. We were travelling by bicycle so needed something close to restaurants. A place was provided to store our bikes. It was great to have a suite with coffee and milk provided. The suites are large. It was self checkin, a code was provided by text.

Very good location. The balcony with a barbecue.
The steep stairs leading to the bedroom.

The parking, the house, it's size, the fireplace in the entrance (1st floor), the style, the top floor beds and rooms.
The (big) guidebook, loved reading all (most) of the stuff that Mr Noble wrote there.
minor things
the fireplace on the 2nd floor didn't work for me, the shower hot water kept changing from hot to cold, at one moment they were fine, after 2 mins it's as if the hot water ran out and I had to turn the water valve all the way to hot, and the after a few moments came the super hot water and I had to set it back to normal, same thing after 5 mins...strange but minor.

This little hotel is a true gem in the heart of Brockville. Housed in a century home, the building has charm and character that invites you to stay. We had the “judges chambers” suite on the main level - it’s massive, with a queen bed, large sitting area, fireplace, kitchen, and bathroom. The decor was quirky and fun, to bring the theme of the suite to life.
The self check in process was very easy (email instructions were clear), and self check out was a breeze. Overall we had a wonderful stay.
We’ve heard other suites have different themes - we will likely return to see another!
No complaints at all - this was fantastic

This is a unique property. It was fun to stay here. The location was excellent.
The traffic noise is evident. There needs to be a good spring cleaning to rid the room of cobwebs etc. The wall paper etc is peeling off the walls and needs a touch of care.

Very dated. Shag carpet on stairs was old and they were very steep. Walls covered with old wallpaper.Reviews I read regarding condition were accurate.
